    There's got to be a gene inside men that makes us like barbecue, there's something primal and awesome in using fire to cook meat. So the pork is comfortably marinading in the fridge. Can't wait :yum:

    Arrf my sister is at the hospital, still no news 3 hours after my mum told me. It doesn't seem to be life threatening but I dunno I hate not knowing anything. She broke her legs about two weeks back, today they were removing her casket but her leg was red and inflated, they don't know why.

    @ Flix - I hope your sister is ok. Its hard waiting for news from the hospital but there isn't much you can do about the waiting. Hopefully you can get a chance to go and see her.

    Had to do a double-take on that one. In the US a 'casket' is what you put a dead body in; a 'cast' protects a broken limb. Hope she's okay but at least it's not as bad as I first thought....

    Err, yeah my bad, I meant a cast obviously. I always mix those two words. Turns out it was a simple case of Deep vein thrombosis, so she's out of the hospital and should be fine. I thought the English word was "coffin" ?

    Yes, coffin is correct; casket usually refers to something more fancy. Like a plain pine box would be a coffin, a fine wood and metal box with satin lining and hinged lid would be a casket. :)

    I saw the mistake in Flix's post as well but I decided not to point it out at the time since he seemed worried and the mistaken word had kind of dark connotations. Glad your sister was ok Flix.

    Yeah about that, I absolutely hate making mistakes, grammatical or otherwise; if you see one don't hesitate to point it out to me. How else am I suppose to learn ?

    And yeah I'm relieve my sister is ok, the alternative would have been... unpleasant.

    Word of advice - take a moment and flop your hand around like rubber and then stretch your arm strait out and make a stop sign with your hand .... count 10 seconds and repeat.

    Ah for crying out loud ! I finally found my old DS lite and got the damn thing to work -- it's kinda old (I bought it the day the DS lites came out c. 2006) and very temperamental it refuses to work if you look at it the wrong it. Plus the shoulder buttons just doesn't work anymore. The worst part is I've lost the AC adapter, I can't recharge it ! Why does everything breaks around me ? Especially now that I haven't got any money to replace them ?! I must have bad karma or something, seriously everything's falling appart

    - My favorite jeans are ripped in a ... very ungentlemanly area
    - There's a huge hole in my only pair of shoes
    - My headphone doesn't work anymore
    - Several apps on my phone just... stop working properly
    - My second xbox360 controller won't boot up
    - My logitech PC game controller is also busted
    - My vintage pocket watch is cracked (and the battery is dead but that can easily be replaced)
    - My 8go flashdrive won't mount itself on any computer
    - There are several dead pixel in my second monitor (gotta love a dual monitor setup)
    - I've lost a very good book

    Why does everything around me breaks?!

    / Flix is becoming paranoiac.
