Take care and rest Silv. That's kind of scary on both sides. Your heart is already working overtime carrying your baby inside. How long will it take for the steroids to take effect and strengthen his lungs? Stay healthy Hon and let other people help you around the house etc.

[IMG] You have BJHS don't you? Or is it just hypermobility you have? Going full term with Hypermobility Syndrome (BJHS) is usually rarer than the rest of the general population. You had the same thing with Ashley didn't you? I don't recall if you needed steroids though.

I'm sure you and the baby will be fine, have you been told to rest? Some of the hypermobile women have been reccomending gentle swimming to help general circulation in capillaries - helps with blood pressure and blood flow to the baby.

Thanks guys. The steroids should have kicked in by tomorrow and then it's just seeing how long he can hang on for.
8, I have hyper mobility and had the same problem with Ashley so I was half expecting it! And yeah, I had to have the steroids with him too, it's no wonder I'm growing a beard

My sister has more chest hair than I do ... and that was before she had children.... She always had to carefully pick out her swimsuits, showing cleavage was not the best look for her (until she discovered wax ... which is a very amusing story during family reunions).

8 weeks which isn't as bad as Ashley who was 10 weeks early (12 if you count the fact that he stopped growing for a fortnight!)

Sorry to hear that, hope everything's gonna be alright.

Why isn't anyone in the greater Montreal area willing to hire a 23 year old college dropout (still with a western civilization history minor diploma), with no real experience so to speak and some narcissistic issues ?

Yeah I've decided against my "I won't ***** about stuff" policy, sorry folks I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.

Have you considered selling Avon Flix?

I had something really nice happen yesterday. A little grade one boy who is very quite and usually seems to be in a world of his own, came up to me and gave me a flower he had picked. He told me that I was the best school-lunchtime supervisor ever. What a sweety.

Yeah I'm not good with people, I'd have a hard time making a profit selling water in the Sahara desert.

Kids these day... :p that's sweet actually. When I was in primary school it was my solemn duty to drive lunchtime supervisors insane by purposefully ignoring every rules. Y'know 'cause I could.

Edit: Is there a word for being disappointed and impressed at the same time ? Because I just finished Dragon's Dogma's demo in under half an hour. Seriously ? The demo itself is awesome, 3rd person rpg goodness awesome battle with mythical creatures (Stabbing a Griffin in the back while it's still flying -- how is that not awesome?, but 30 min of gameplay ? Demos used to be a bit longer, at least an hour.

Well, today went well. The baby is fine...not great but not in any immediate trouble and all my blood results and blood pressure is back to normal. Got to go back next week and do it all again!

That sounds good Silvery. Remember not to do parachuting or gymnastics.

ION, I just went and checked a FB page that I could not access before and it bothers me a lot.

Oooh that looks like a pretty nasty flood Reep. It's amazing how much damage water can do, and at the same time it is essential for life.

I just finished assembling a cat post that reaches from floor to roof. I can hardly wait for it to be put into use.

OH! AND I am only 3 posts short of my final GEM! Ain't dat sumpin!

ARRRGH My neighbor really really loves his lawnmower, he uses the bloody thing every week ! I mean c'mon grass doesn't grow that fast (does it? I really don't know). The way my parent's place is made the living room's window is next(ish) to his backyard. All I'm trying to do is watch tv* while I search jobs on my laptop. But noooooo I can't hear a goddamn thing 'cause of his obnoxiously loud mower.

*y'know what, I'm gonna miss that 46" HD TV when I finally get a job and find my own place, mind you I've already persuaded my dad to give me his older 22" HD TV for my (hypothetical) place, which will be fine really but... y'know :p

Hate to say it, but your neighbour apparently knows what is best for his lawn. During the summer it's best to mow your grass every week. The short cut off pieces absorb the direct sunlight and feed the lawn. Some people mow their lawn from may 'till november.

You're gonna love that, right? :D :outta:
