The heath is getting ridiculous here as well, 39C in the bloody shade with humidity of course, but it's always humid in the summer here, I blame the rivers.

I think you mean the heat, not the heath. :)

(Sorry but you've asked us to correct you!:))

Heh - nope! But a few years back we were allowed to have indoor cats where I live. Since then the number of cats in the area has grown exponentially. You probably already guessed that the "indoor" cats have their very own interpretation of the meaning of "indoor cat" - it is of course a cat who tries to get indoors in as many places as it can! :D

Ok what's wrong with me ? Despite the heat ( :p ) I went jogging, I don't think I've never been so thirsty in my life. The ambient temperature is higher than the body's internal temperature for god's sake. I need a shower now

Thanks for the link, Tal, and for the heads up T2B. Also noticed they have Serious Sam: The Second Encounter on sale right now. Awesome game so got it straight away.

I feel your pain. And you can explain all you want that doing the same thing in less time or more things in the same time will lead to a lower quality product, but you might as well be talking to a concrete wall.

Yeah, damn heather growing everywhere, encroaching on our living space *we need a smiley with a shaking fist here*

No heath here just mint, a low crawling ivy and some random flowers and herbs.

At work, we are trying outsourcing as a fix-all right now, and thinking of it, I have to take care I don't outsource myself with one of my tools one day.

So one of our service providers is doing some work for us, and their cheap 'hands' are located in one of the smaller Balkan 'what passes as a country for inexplicable reasons and who were probably better off under the Ottomans' places.

They were to demonstrate their prowess in a five day test run, and were having basically a black week. First day they didn't get their network up and linked to their team head in Germany and in the following days were running into technical obstacle after obstacle, culminating in a power out in that backwater place where they have their hands. And all the time, the timer is on. IMO it was a harebrained idea to have them work here to begin with, in particular in light of them having to rely on our guest WLAN for access to their firm network, but they agreed to our terms so ... Their team head is sharing the office with me for the week, and she is desperate, trying to do her best under adverse conditions. Her firm's climate puts her under great pressure to perform while offering not that much in terms of support. Cheap bastards. Poor thing.

I may just have to comfort her :holy:

For anybody who hasn't picked up the Deus Ex games, now is the time to do so. The whole bundle (including the DLCs for Human Revolution) are up on Steam at 75% off for an incredibly good £9.99. I can't say that it'll be a direct currency conversion to Euros/Dollars etc., since Valve seem to have a not-so-lovely tendency to give a good deal to one currency and completely screw over another (usually Europeans  ). Regardless, I know I'm going to be getting this, and I recommend anyone else who has ever had a passing interest in them does so too.

I've been playing Minecraft myself lately. But I have to stop making new worlds and just develop something.

A friend bought TNG in Blu-ray so I'm heading to his place tonight it's gonna be awesome. Star Trek in HD, oh the glory :p -- I just realised TNG is older than me, by a year. Which made me think of all the awesome thing that came out of the 80s

-Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
    -Star Trek: The Next Generation
-Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (the fourth was pretty bad really and the fifth an abomination, an horror made from evil men, a plague upon geekhood)
-Star Wars ep V: The Empire Strike Back
-Star Wars ep VI: The Return of the Jedi
    -The NES
-Super Mario Bros I and II
    -Mega Man I through V
    -Blade Runner
    -Bon Jovi
    -Guns and Roses
    -Iron Maiden
    -Metalica
    -Rain Man
-The beginning of the end of Soviet Communism
-The Fall of the Berlin Wall (although I guess it's cultured biased, it's possible some older Germans misses the days of East Germany, but it's only speculation)
-Back to the Future I and II
    -The Simpsons
    -Dragon Quest I, II, III
-And of course, everybody's favorite Bom-er; The Flix was born

The rain in Alberta beats the sweltering heat of Ontario any day. This is starting to get pretty unbearable...

Alberta was pretty dry up until a couple years ago. I imagine we are still in for some heat here though too.

ion I just realized that our kitten has completely disembowelled the toy mouse we have him yesterday. I would hate to see what he does with a real one.

I'm really out of practice at this babbling. I couldn't even string random words together.

Meanwhile, I'll be in and out of the houst today as I work on a trailer to be loaded with wood. Bigger chunks, which I can only work on so long then I have to get away from it...

Actually it is kind of hard to string a group of random words together if you try.

Why are you loading a trailer with wood Gnarf? Are you taking out tree stumps or are you just stockpiling wood?
