    Happy New Year to all! I have no plans except to sit in the recliner, eat, read, eat, play IWD2 (maybe 2008 is the year I'll finally finish it), eat, doze, eat, watch TV, eat . . .
    perhaps you see the recurring theme here?

    As I expected everything fell apart at work while I was on vacation. I spent the whole day doing damage control. From the reactions of people here it must have been like armageddon. Of course they also have a tendency to make mountains out of molehills. I will admit that the people in my department didn't exactly cover themselves with glory during my absence. Good thing tomorrow's a holiday.

    It is New Year's Day (first inane comment of the year, eh?). I stayed up until 2:00 AM, far too late for a person of my advanced years, especially since I always wake up by 7:00 AM, regardless of when I go to bed.

    I am engaging in the Southern U.S. New Year's Day good luck ritual of cooking greens, black-eyed peas, salt pork (actually bacon in my case), and cornbread. The black-eyed peas are canned (actually I have been told they are not true peas), the turnip greens are frozen, and the bacon was out of a vacuum wrapped mass produced package, but the cornbread is from scratch.

    Happy babbling to all, and may it be a year of good fortune for all good SP'ers. (Oh, all right, the bad ones, too.) ;) :p
