So sorry, Uri. It's so sad to lose a pet.

Here is the daily weather report, surely random babble for everyone else but me: it was nearly 60 F (almost 16 C) here yesterday but today, in mid-afternoon, it is only 29 F (-2 C). Strong winds last night took all the false roof fronts off a line of little stores in a nearby town. It will warm up slightly in the next day or two.

What I want is enough snow to get a picture of my house with Christmas decorations up - and that's probably not going to happen, and since Lent begins next Wednesday (about as early as it can) I feel duty-bound to take down the Christmas stuff.

ION, the Super Bowl is this Sunday. I am disturbed to do the math and realize I have been alive for all of them. I detect a trend here. :geezer:

Well, my PGCE application is off, I just need my line manager to send a reference and I should (hopefully) get interviews from the Universities I applied to. Teacher training here I come!

Soon I will be the master... :tie:

It wasn't the Lord, it was Ben Franklin (God probably gets to sleep in). But that's close enough. :)

    Sorry about your cat, Uri.

Well it's warmed up to -25c. Much better than -32 even if it is only 7 degrees.

So, my plan of going to my classes today was destroyed by a lie in, followed by a good day's larping. I feel a bit better today.

It's also mentioned in the Doctrine and Covenents under the Word of Wisdom. Besides, the early mornings were in the service to the Lord...

I see both benifits and disadvantages to getting up early. I always feel guilty if I sleep in too long because I feel I have missed a good part of the day. It has been a long time though since I have actually been able to sleep in that long.

Whoever crafted the Doctine probably borrowed it from Ben. There are a few other quotes by Ben that are often attributed to the Bible. For instance, the saying, "God helps those that help themselves," was also by coined by Ben.

Chev - As you say, there are a lot of advantages to being a "free man." I'm sure you will find something much better, with people who will appreicate you more.

Bah, daytime and daylight are overrated.

BTW, Dfly, you're a bit slow in replying to PMs, are ya? :skeptic:

Wouldn't work, due to the hours of my current job being wildly unpredictable. I need a proper 40 hours a week job.

Be careful, I hear the phrase most tourists look up in Spanish dictionaries during the Running of the Bulls is, "Help! I've got a horn up my a**". ;)
