Uytuun, I feel it too. Probably from different directions but maybe equally heavy.

Well, exam's today! An history one concerning the ancient Egyptian civilisation. Shouldn't be too hard, since the class last a mere 15 weeks (and this is the fifth) and we have to "study" several civlisations (four in total) we cannot dwell into too much depth with each of them. As such, it's more of a general overview. Still, I enjoy this class and I think it'll be an interesting beginning if I am to be accepted in History at the Université de Montréal (Do I reallly need to translate this? :p )

I also have an exam on Jean Cocteau's writing afterward in my French class. Again shouldn't be too hard. The exam has to be a minimum of 650 words and a maximum of a 1000. Three years ago it might have scared me, but not anymore, again if I am to be in university, I should expect similar if not harder work.

So, in all I'm pretty confident in both tests and I am certainly not stressed. I can enjoy my coffee and spam here.

What the? A classmate just called me if she could borrow my notes. However I do not recall ever giving her my number, most puzzling indeed! I don't really mind, she's rather cute and she speaks with the loveliest accent ever! Have you ever heard a Brazilian speaking French? It's lovely!

Ugrrh, why do I feel unexplainable feelings toward this person? I really don't want any relationships that would obviously end in yet another painful failure! Damn it brain stop that!

Ah, Flix, take it from poor old revmaf, unexplainable feelings leading to relationships at high risk of painful failure . . . never go away, I'm afraid. (Spoken from the dizzying depths of advanced middle age, here.)

No visible eclipse, but OTOH, no freezing rain so far this morning, either, so I guess it's a trade. Sorry I couldn't see it, though.

Strife, didn't realize permanent residency was that complicated. But it sounds like the application process will take long enough for you to ponder things. My only observation: home, even the best of homes, isn't always the best place to be as you are feeling your way through adulthood. Nice place to visit, and all that, though that may be hard, too, given the rising expenses of travel.

I am putting off working and need to stop that! :nono:
    Bad revmaf! No cookie!

    Wow...

Last night at work, everyone had to go to a mandatory meeting. We knew something was up when we saw the entire HR staff and the 2 highest management figures there. Turns out that my boss got fired, and 12 other people were written up for starting a "hottest girls on 3rd shift" calendar. We all had to sit though a sexual harassment class...the worst part is, I had no idea of such a calendar until now! :nolike:
It kind of sucks that we lost our shift supervisor...he was a total push-over and we could usually get away with murder...that, and he was fairly cool...for a red neck.

Also, there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake that hit to the west of us. I didn't feel it, but then, I did grow up in California... :p Anyway, it's touched a nerve here in Utah since Salt Lake City lies directly above a major fault line...and scientist say we're 10 years past due for a *major* earthquake. When it does eventually happen, I have a feeling it's going to be worse than the Northridge, CA quake several years ago (read: freeway overpasses collapsing on to other freeway overpasses, building collapses, and widespread fires). Utah has done very little earthquake proofing...

Finally in news...It's time for bed. :p :rolling:

/me empties revmaf's cookie jar! :yum: Hey, it's for your own good, revmaf! :holy:

Look on the bright side of it, knowing about the calendar might have endangered *your* job! (If you had actively participated. Now would you have foregone such a thing?;))

I shall go to lectures tomorrow, I have decided. I need to turn up to them now and again, even if it just to remind myself what my lecturers are actually like. Not to mention remembering what I am supposed to be studying.

Well revmaf, I've been waiting since July last year for the Australian government to make a decision - part of me kinda wishes they'd just reject my application and thus make things a lot simpler for me.

Unfortunately, things are never that easy, are they? I have a steady girlfriend who's going to study in Australia for another semester, and then if she decides to do postgraduate studies, she'll have to leave the country and then come back again next year.

Either way I think I'd be stuck with a long distance relationship. Well, it's something I'm going to seriously discuss with her when she comes back for the coming semester.

I believe Wal-Mart has them on sale. Three-for-one. Apparently the third is a "just-in-case" spare.
