    Stef:Welcome to St.Aug.We hardly ever go to the beach,mostly because neither of us can swim.But we'll probably be at the fort to watch the fireworks.Of course,i could be standing right next to you and not know it,but it will still be a shared experience

    Kitrax:Yes,that's very hot.I grew up in Los Angeles.There were many days over 100 degrees.And they were more comfortable than 80 in this God-cursed Florida.I don't think we stole it from the indians,i think they tricked us into taking it

    In other news,I finally got into a machine shop I've been trying to get into for months.I start Monday morning.I'll have to get used to working day shift,but it's a much better place to work

    It's up in the air whether or not we'll stay late enough for the fireworks. Gainesville does Fanfares and Fireworks on the 3rd, so I got my firework fix already. If I was more organized, I'd say we could arrange to meet. I wind up in your neck of the woods on a semi-regular basis anyways, so maybe in the future we could arrange things.

    Must get to sleep now, so I can be fit to drive tomorrow.

    All this talk about beaches is getting to me. No summer trip to California this year....but in late November we'll be in Costa Rica. But still...I want a beach now! :hippy:

    Ok, so I got my grades and one is way lower than expected (I do still pass the course) and than I deserved (seriously - he even said my exam was very good and I was there every week and participated constantly whereas the rest didn't open their mouths) and now I'm *pissed-off* and jaded because there's no justice in this world.

    Here's to hoping they made a mistake, but I doubt that.

    I'm gonna be bald, thanks to the process of balding, in ten years. My hair makes a comeback in the sequel and then releases a spin-off that doesn't sell very well. It eventually dies from a drug overdose just before the DVDs gain him a cult following. Sad stuff.

    Back from the beach with a slight sunburn. Wound up going a bit south of my intended destination, and going to Butler beach instead of St Augustine beach. Next beach trip is planned for the 19th.
    It's nice living 1 1/2 hours from the beaches...
