Not really :( Some of my doctors think I shouldn't even move away from home. There are even simple things around the house I have difficulty which is just ridiculous. We've even had to have the taps at home replaced because I couldn't turn them properly.

As much as I loathe it, I will need different things to do normal things and I think I will also need someone else around to help me. Being told my only option is to look privately is just another stress on the whole process. I already have to fill out all the paperwork I did last year for finances and to prove I'm (still) disabled because apparently you can't just update current information -_-

Plus where the finances are being centralised there is nowhere at local centres where the paperwork is still being sorted to actually deal with queries or even deal with your application if they're not in the mood for it.

    Grrrhhhrrr!

I'm packing way too much testosterone apparently.

This realization is what you get when you start reading a book about hormones.

@8: Ah, I didn't realise you had difficulty getting about. I guess where you stay is pretty important after all. Apologies for the oversight.

Eh, stop worrying about it. Just got out in start a fight in front of some attractive ladies. They'll be so impressed by your manly prowess, it is inevitable that they'll quickly swoon with desire. Bonus points for some powerful grunting while indulging in the fisticuffs.

Let us know whether it works out, or whether you just get charged with assault.

And if you read a book about cancer, you are convinced, without a doubt, that you have cancer. Ditto for diabetes, halitosis, IBS and earwigs (the Night Gallery version). :p

The wife and I work nights (7pm till 7am, and I keep my sleep schedule even on days we don't work. My normal bedtime is between 7:30am to 9am...which is when most people eat breakfast...so I call it breakfast. :D I often eat a bowl of cereal right before bed, so much of the time it *is* breakfast before bed! :yum:
Damn you and...and damn that blue monster! Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head all day long. :bang:

What, are you bald or something? :p :rolling:

Oh, I knows about dem earwigs, they've made a hole in my head already.

On IBS, I'd like to say that it's more likely that there's some crazie on the loose & stalking me with an illegal bowel diruptor gun.

And cancer? Nah, not just yet no matter how much I read about it.

The too much testosterone refers as not in medical condition, but as in aggression and sex-drive. And hey, yeah Kit, I'm getting balder. Soon I'll be playing Balder's gate all day long. (now it'll be a mercy-killing if you end my days after that pun... :hahaerr:)

Sex-drive brings me to wonder why it is that women bend over too indiscriminately around here. Ghhh... Oh, I'm sure it's just innocent and has nothing to do with sex, right. But I'll tell you what, no guy bends over in front of anyone. Pick something up from the floor and someone's behind you, you don't bend over. It's just not done. But women? A guy's (me...) around, they bend over almost making sure that you'd have to be blind not to ogle at their rear. I bet they do it more when they're ovulating too. Damnit!

    I think so.

For that pun, you should be hit with a bowel-disrupter gun. Whatever one of those is.

Today I finished a project I had been working on for five weeks, way over schedule, and neatly wrapped things up. I am now entering a three week paid holiday. Very good.

After writing a report for my Über-Boss on friday on another project, I got a 70% pay raise today, with the comment that they plan to involve me deeply into the project. Needless to say that I am pleased.

Last Thursday I told a lady that I had a crush on her and she kindly turned me down today. Which fills me with as much disappointment as with relief. Finally, an end to ambivalence. Well, it's ok, sort of.

Unrelated, an old acquaintance called up, asking for a date. Good.

One of my best friends is moving back into town, almost into my neighbourhood. Good.

I am going to spend a few days in Munich in three weeks towards the end of my holiday. Good.

 I guess I'll call it a good day

    Mmmmm....70% pay raises. :yum:

I remember that feeling. It always sucked at first, but just having an answer made me feel better in the long run. :)

In other news, last night I had an interview for the same job I interviewed for a few weeks ago...just on the opposite shift. I think it went really well. Whenever I answered a question, they usually responded with, "Good answer." I'm pretty confident that I'm going to get the job, however, if I go to the other shift, I won't be getting much of a raise because my shift has the highest differential pay. :bad: But that's alright, I'll at least be in the right field of work. :rolling:

There are books with no illustrations, books in which illustrations are neatly grouped at chapter/page/column endings, and books in which the text is broken and flows around the drawings, giving the impression that the book was handwritten and illustrated.
Very lovely effect... especially if the drawings are coloured, too.

I watched Conan 2 for the first time yesterday. It's a real pity that they never made a Conan 3. Maybe Conan's hinted future kingdom is really L.A..

70% sounds awesome doesn't it? It sounds a little better than it is but it is still pretty good ;)
I slept out! And I dreamt silly stuff about my last project. Which means I need the rest.

    And now I need ... :coffee2:

@Decados. A bowel-disruptor gun is featured in the comic book 'Transmetropolitan' by Warren Ellis.

If you're into comics, Ellis is one of the finest british contemporary writers, and Transmetropolitan is solid work. A political satire, wildly anarchistic commentary of modern day (american) politics. Funny, witty and sarcastic as hell, and it still manages to reach emotional depth not usual to the everyday pulp of the comic book genre.

Heh. I liked it, but for me there was much to like. Then again, to each their own...
