Great news about your mum Stef. I'm really pleased for you. Heart problems are really close to my (excuse the pun) heart as we have a history of heart disese in our family and my dad died at 36 of a heart attack :(

Dal, shooting Zombies only counts if they were going to infect you with something

I'm drinking hazelnut and cinammon coffee...it's odd

Bah, Kit's influence is rubbing on me because the first thing that came to my mind when I read that was the drink called Zombie.

Or that simply means I'm long overdue in getting wasted. That's what the Xmas party at work will be for.

Never heard of that one before. :hmm:

In other news, I'm *really* not looking forward to work this week. With the wife gone, I've got very few people to talk to when I get bored. I wish I worked somewhere where my coworkers aren't a******s. :bad:

What?!? I'll rectify that with five variations of the Zombie recipe.

    1/2 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
    1 oz pineapple juice
    1 oz orange juice
    1/2 oz apricot brandy
    1 tsp sugar
    2 oz light rum
    1 oz dark rum
    1 oz lime juice

Blend all ingredients with ice except Bacardi 151 proof rum. Pour into a collins glass. Float Bacardi 151 proof rum on top. Garnish with a fruit slice, sprig of mint and a cherry.

    Variant #2

    1 oz light rum
    1/2 oz creme de almond
1 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
    1/2 oz triple sec
    1 1/2 oz orange juice
    1/2 oz 151 proof rum

Shake all ingredients (except 151 proof rum) with ice and strain into a collins glass over ice cubes. Float the 151 proof rum on top, add a cherry (if desired), and serve.

    Variation #3

    1 1/4 oz lemon juice
    2 dashes grenadine syrup
    3/4 oz orange juice
    3/4 oz Heering® cherry liqueur
    3/4 oz white rum
    2 oz dark rum
    3/4 oz 151 proof rum

Shake over ice in a shaker, and strain into a large highball glass over crushed ice.

    Variation #4

    1 1/2 oz gold rum
    3 tsp lime juice
    1 tbsp Jamaican dark rum
    1 tbsp white rum
    1 tbsp pineapple juice
    1 tbsp papaya juice
    1 1/2 tsp sugar syrup
    1 tsp 151 proof rum
    1 pineapple stick
    1 pinch powdered sugar

Shake all ingredients (except the high-proof rum) over ice, the pineapple stick and the sugar. Strain and add ice. Garnish with pineapple and a cherry. Float the high-proof rum on top and sprinkle a little sugar over it.

    Variation #5

    1 oz light rum
    1/2 oz creme de noyaux
    1/2 oz triple sec
1 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
    1 1/2 oz orange juice
    1/2 oz 151 proof rum

Strain ingredients into collins glass filled with ice. Top with 151 Proof Rum.

My personal fav is the #3.

    #5 looks good.

After the first free month passed you start thinking "I payed like 60€ to play this game and I only get to play it for a month, what a rip-off!". And then: "But hey, for 25€ I get another 2 months, that doesn't sound bad!". Then you don't want to stop the adventures of your awesome character. And the circle continues.
The RL time issue is resolved through addiction.

Ah crap, now I feel like getting wasted. Thankfully, I'll get few hours of sleep, and I'm heading at a friend's place, and I'll DEFINITIVELY get wasted.

And before anyone points out I fell off the wagon... yeah, I did. Big time. The life of a straightedge is boring. Who wants to live a boring life? Not me.

You don't want to know babe. Suffice to say it involved some ice, a hairbrush handle and some very odd ideas about what was ok to put in your mouth.

ION My website for the business is FINALLY up and running!! YAY!!!

I've done my part for the economy. Barring a major winfall, my Christmas shopping is completed for the year. I also spent $40 on what should be enough snacks to get me through the rest of the year.

Also, I've come up with two specific nights I want to try if I ever start drinking again:

Tequilla to the point of colour blindness and try to play Uno.

Drink zombies until I become one.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to drink to the point of colour blindness. If you do drink tequilla though make sure you buy the good stuff and that you eat the worm. The worm has very special properties you know ;).

    DotW: Nice recipes.

RL and I have reached an agreement of mutual ignoring. So far, so good. :p
