Oh yes, it must suck to not be able to have a sharp, hollow metal tube haphazardly (unless you get a good tech) shoved though your skin and into a vein. :toofar:

I can't give blood because the method of obtaining such fluids requires that I allow someone with a needle anywhere near me. :nono:

[IMG] I have warm feet, drink warm coffee, the weather outside is lousy, and I just checked my e-mail which gave reason for hope that perhaps already tomorrow I'll get my hands on Mass Effect 2.

That will then predictably lead to a lull in my relentless spamming :shake: NOG - isn't that great news?

Had Thursday off. Did the dishes, got groceries and was home at 10 am. While Steam was decoding the files I made breakfast. Went to fieldhockeypractice at 6 and was back at 9.

    Boring isn't it?

Unless you play Mass Effect2 for the rest of the time maxed out.

Due to popular demand, I will now give instructions on how to use a rotary phone:

    1. Lift the handset from the cradle, and into the mouthpiece, clearly state the phone number of the phone from which you are calling; this activates the phone. Return the handset to the cradle.
    2. Dial the number you wish to call by placing your finger in the hole corresponding to the first number in the phone number, and press firmly; repeat for the remaining numbers. This “primes” the phone for step 3.
    3. Lift the handset off of the cradle, and repeat step 1; this is priming stage 2.
    4. Place your finger in the hole corresponding to the first number in the phone number, and move your finger in a counter-clockwise direction such that the plastic disc rotates. Stop when you get to the metal piece to the right of the “0”, but be careful, as its razor-sharp edge could slice off your finger if you try to go too far. (This design is intentional, and is meant to discourage people from speed dialing.) Remove your (hopefully-unsevered) finger from the hole, and allow the disc to return to its original position.
    5. Repeat step 4 for the remaining numbers.
    6. After the call is completed, repeat steps 1 and 2 in reverse order in order to “cool down” and deactivate the phone.

    Your welcome.

I miss rotary phones! This whole button-pusing with new ones makes me sad :(

Rotary phones are one of things I love when visiting my grandparents. Hearing them click away as the dial moves is great :D

Of course, it's much more fun when you're six and the grandparents unplug it from the wall and let you play with it for hours - the only exception being jam.

Same goes for old alarm clocks, real heavy ones, with the actual metallic bell/gong thing on top. They tend to skip a bit when rung... Cotton helps.
    Something like this:

When that thing falls of a night table, you notice. :p
(And if you haven't tried to drop it on people from a tree, on a fishing string... um... I think I'll stop now.)

The best scene of "In and Out" is the model trying to push the buttons on the rotary phone.

But it's even more fun to play with it for hours while it's still plugged in the wall :D

Growing up is not fun :skeptic:

$30?!!! That's absolutely insane. For the expensive cinemas here it would be about $16, and the cheap and awesome one it was $11 (and for non-3D movies it's $6.50). And these are Australian dollars!

I know! It was about 30$ here too. Imagine if you go out to the cinmas with your wife (or husband) and two kids. It costs you 120$ (plus popcorn and drinks, with is like another 30$ at least).

Y'know, the dumb thing is I know the difference between "your" and "you're" (and "yore", for that matter), but sometimes my fingers just don't cooperate with my brain. :heh:

[IMG] Haha, I have done the following things this afternoon:

    1. Installed Mass Effect 2
    2. I let the start screen run for the entire time so I could hear the Mas Effect 2 music
    3. went shopping, including a small bottle of Sekt and crisps
    4. made dinner and ate, so I won't have to interrupt the game for it
    5. post this largely pointless post in order to further maximise my anticipation
    6. arranged snacks and drinks on my desk
And now I will play the game.

    *pop* Prost!

I just watched an episode of Kenny vs Spennny (tv reality show of competitions between two friends) while eating lunch. I saw the ''Who can eat the most meat'' one, and for those who know the show, don't watch this episode while eating!! :(

The winner of the competition ate 15 pounds of meat in like 2 days! :whoa:
