    The trick for not getting older is simple: pure force of will! That way, time has no grip on you. Splunge is so good at this, he might eventually see the dawn of man. Though I believe he has already seen it...

    Hey I never felt the need to actually lie about my age, I'm just saying I don't look it :p. Losing a major stress in my life a year ago seemed to have set the clock backwards. I've always been young at heart - learned that from my mom - but now I'm enjoying life in a different way.

    Taking down the exterior Christmas decorations

    i've got a big evergreen in my front yard that I decorate every year. The problem is the colored balls get lost on such a big tree. I use the big C-9 bulbs in blue to light the tree. Several years ago I discovered that the liners in the 5 liter wine boxes were silver. If you take them out of the boxes and inflate them they make perfect decorations for the outdoor tree. Plus you never have to many on the tree so its real enjoyable to empty the wine and re-inflate them. We had a windy snow storm this year which picked about half off the tree and re distributed them around the neighborhood. Kinda looked like a winery had blown up but they looked pretty in the snow. I guess I'd better get started on next years ornaments:)

    That is fantastic fastfritz. I really appreciate when people make decorations out of recycled materials. You should post your "recipe" on a recycling site or something. Anyway it sounds pretty. Do you have any photo's you could show us?

    I got the Christmas present I asked for, a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins jersey (#93). Also having a lot of fun watching RNH tear it up at the World Juniors. There is a silver lining to the lockout after all. :)

    I've been making special snacks for the kids and me all day. I didn't buy any chocolate or chips for this new-years because I thought I could make better things. :) Later this evening we are going to watch the fireworks. Should be a great New Years Eve.
