Is there anything better than eating cookies freshly out of the oven ? Yeah, I made cookies , let the emasculating jokes begin. But you know what ? I have fresh homemade oatmeal cookies, you don't, who's the idiot then :p ?

Well you know, baking isn't a typical manly activity I just assumed . But I really don't care, I'm perfectly aware I don't fit in the "typical man" mold.

As for sending the cookies, there's approximately 4,000 km between Québec and Idaho, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't arrive in optimal conditions, not to mention the shipping fee and the whole crossing the border thing. Isn't there regulations or something for sending foodstuff through mail ? The journey westward would mean the cookies crossed half of Québec, Ontario, the border, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, and then Idaho.

edit: I just love playing around google map, I actually tried mapping that trip

:( darn. oh well. will have to figure out something myself then. I actually was able to visual that trip and it made for an interesting thought process.

I make a killer cookie (my wife provided the recipe and it is now the family cookie). Peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate chip.

Sometimes, none of the dough survives to become cookies . . .

Don't know where else to post this, so ...

I've been seeing a lot of this sort of thing on the main forum page and the SP home page during the last 24 hours:

    e.g., under Latest News Headlines

    281 oil filters.

Those Japs are making fun of me. This begs for reorientation sessions.

This would go into SS normally, but anyway, it's due to the problems with the web server I've been trying to sort out all day. Hopefully it won't come up again.

I'm so tired - I really wish there was a way I could fit more sleep in a 24 hour period without losing any awake productiveness.

Well if you're constantly tired then you're not really productive now, are you ? Maybe you should "loose" a couple extra hours in the evening or morning to sleep a little bit more. You'll be much more productive and alert afterward. Mens sana in corpore sano my friend.

Due to a lack of of sunlight (we sure had a nice winter this spring), the herring in the Northsea have not been able to eat enough plankton and aren't fat enough. So this year's herring season is postponed for 2 weeks, until the 19th of june.

Unnnngh! I really want a raw herring! (technically, it's mildly brined/soused)

Sorry about the herring. And I wish that when I slept, all the extra hours I need would magically appear, so that I would get enough sleep but not miss out on awake time. Like Dice :)

There's a red herring joke to be made somewhere in this but I'm too tired / lazy to come up with one, I'm just sayin' someone could.

just heard a depressing statistic on TV today; the current unemployment rate for the 18-25* year old demographic in Québec is 14% -- No wonder I haven't been able to find a job for the summer . I've been searching daily since the end of the winter term (around the 20th of April).

*This Flix's 24, he will turn a quarter of a century in August. This Flix thinks he hasn't done enough during those 25ish years. 'Cause this Flix's still in university. This Flix thinks maybe he shouldn't refer to himself in the third person.
