    St. Patrick is supposed to have driven all of the snakes from Ireland (according to legend).
    I think most people just use it as an excuse to go and get drunk on Guinness

    Well, theoretically, it is a day for the Irish to commemorate their patron saint, Patrick who lived in the 5th century AD and has been recorded by some as being the person primarily responsible for converting Ireland to christianity. He is often depicted as a hero who drove all the snakes off the island nation.

    But somehow, St Patrick's Day in the 21st century is now an excuse for people all over the world to drink lots of Guinness. :)

    I ended up married to the (part-time) receptionist at my last job. Though it was I who pursued her, it is definitely worth pursuing. Actually, I'd say any potential relationship is worth the time to explore, when you're not currently in one anyway. ;)

    Lol, why would you want to convince them of that? I suppose that means you wouldn't have to buy them drinks. . .but IF you did manage to convince them then they would probaly be vomitting on your shoes. . .which isn't a good option either. Personally I would just pay for their damn drink.
