    Wee.

RopeCOn rocked. And I mean it was... awesome.

I think I overdosed on caffeine at one point, since in the first ever game I GM'ed, I couldn't say the phrase "how does Gandalf react, when he realizes that Hobbits stole his eggs?" out loud... I had to write it down and show it to the players.

But then again, I also bought myself an Iaito. Go me!

Ropecon rocked, even if I couldn't force Harkle into a dress :(

@Sleepless: Shouldn't the zombie song mention "Braaaaiiiins..." at least once? :p

Life's journey is not about arriving in the grave safely, in a well-preserved body, rather it's about skidding in sideways, completely worn out, screaming "F*ck what a ride!"

12 hours 47 minutes to go... And mom is really angsty because it costs 200 kronor (20-25 USD) more than it should.

Yea!!! It's Friday!!! Half day of work, could be home by noon.

On the other hand, we're taking the kids to Great America tomorrow. High expense, long drive, longer lines, cranky kids.....whoopee, I can't wait. :(

Naturally the day before I am set to go on vacation we have major computer problems at the office. Our main switch burnt out yesterday afternoon - I have never even heard of that happening to anyone else.

I actually managed to get out computer tech support provider to give us a loaner switch until a new one could be purchased but when he hooked it up he didn't plug one person's cable in properly so I had to figure out which one it was - naturally the cables aren't labelled and there is no way to tell whether a cable is inserted improperly or if it is just a connection that isn't currently being used.

To make things even more fun, the switch is located up in the ceiling so I had to stand on a stool on top of a table to boost myself up into the ceiling to monkey around with the wires - I am now covered in dust and plaster.

I still don't know if the connections that are not being used today will work but at least if there are any more problems then someone else will have to deal with them.

Anyway, I will be travelling around Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Poland and Germany for the next three weeks so don't expect to hear from me for a while. :D

By way of background, I'm pretty picky about what kind of bike I ride. Has to have a very large frame, such that on an up-pedal, my knees still come up a little short of my waist line. I like almost standing straight when my hands are on the handlebars as well. The big mountain bike deal is my thing.

Lately, I've been noticing these weird bikes with really long handlebars that force your hands up at around head-level. I've also noticed the very small frame and wheels. I have to wonder how the hell you can climb a hill on one of those things, especially in near-the-mountains Calgary. Can that kind of bike support gears?

Is this some sort of fashion trend for bicycles? What's the appeal? What am I missing here?

Meh - we have to go on a *camping holiday* tomorrow - for a full 8 days! :( :nolike:
I'd rather spend the week in school - what a waste of my holiday, I hate tents, I hate cold showers, I hate beans, and I really hate my parents this week :flame: :nolike: :flame:
So I guess I won't be only much the coming week... :'(
