Is it sad and pathetic when the highlight of your week suddenly becomes reaching 100 posts here?

In other news, got a 'phone conference this arvo with the mother of my youngest son to "resolve our dispute". It would help a lot if I knew exactly what the 'dispute' in question was.

 

Maybe the dispute has something to do with you never listening to what she has to say...hehe

 

Well, another hurricane is thinking about possibly taking a Florida vacation. And like last time, I'm supposed to be on the road this weekend... *sigh*

Hmmm... I have a month to reach 3000 posts so i can average 1000 posts/year... I think I can do it.

And no, I do not mean to spam, either... well, not more than usua. I plan to make MEANINGUFL posts....

On the other hand, am moving again this week. THe new place is absolutely fabulous.

Then again, i said that baout my old place... but that was pre-strange drunken people wandering in.

 

Amazing discovery - the only thing resembling porn in a google image search for "Fantasy art" is a demon raping someone - I'd expected much different somehow...

And no, I was not intentionally looking for porn - if I wanted that, I would have typed in "Porn"

 

Speaking about porn in cartoons, what is so great about a girl getting ****** by a bunch of tentacles??????

 

Hmm... today is a strange day, I hope it'll turn out to become a nice day, but lots of stuff I still have to do, and I am irresistably drawn to waste my time here @SP...
I think I'll go work on some random subject now, maybe history... I have lots of history yet to be done

And no, it's not as icky and sick as it sounds.... blame whomever decided that Legolas' hair is a wig and that he spouted tentacles from his head.

Yeah, I can't understand why people look for such things so much. No fun.

Or the nonsense revealing armour on girls. Plates and chain ares for protection. If it doesn't give protection, you can wear light fabrics and avoid unnecessary encumberance.

The most nonsense thing I've ever seen was a girl wearing a proper upper half of plate armour and only plate thong plus boots below. What exactly is the combat value of that?

iirc, in Might and Magic 4 (not sure if it's the right game...) female mages could wear the chainmail bra...

Question: Is there any historical evidence that... eh, form-fitting armor was ever made? After all, is not a "twentysomething girl, with form-fitting breastplate and leather pants. oh, and a two-handed sword, too" such a bloody stereotype?

 

Why is it that most female plate mail looks like the front grill on a 1958 Edsel? Puts a new meaning on the phrase Knight Lights.

 

To some extent any armour must be form-fitting. In ancient times they would carve breastplates to reflect actual chest build with exact muscles, ribs, nipples, beer gut etc. I'm not aware of any surviving female armour like that, though I bet it would follow suit, judging by various surviving images. Still, no such thing as metal underwear or holes drilled in armour to show off the body.

Damn life is good. Shame there isn't a smilie which accurately depicts how good I'm feeling, the closest is and even that's not the half of it.
Had the 'phone conference yesterday and it started horribly, nearly giving me a breakdown by wanting exactly what I've got with my eldest son as far as contact, but by the end...let's just say my feet still haven't hit the ground. Didn't get quite what I wanted but pretty close.

Again, damn life is good.

 

I had someone from an armouring guild offer to make me a set of chainmail armour this past July. I must admit, I'm tempted by the offer. But it would have to happen after I win the lottery or get a high paying job.

He also sells a lovely collection of swords and daggers that I lust after.

I hate being a poor university student.

What a horrible day. An employee at my work and I had a dispute today about something that she should have no concern about. My boss told me that he would allow me to work just four hours tomorrow (my reason for taking the time is important) but he told me that it was a huge favor and that no good deed goes unpunished. I guess working at a place for nine years really has no importance for employers.

I also have a horrible headache as a result of a very bad cold. I had to go to superstore after work and didn't get home until two hours later than usual.
When I got home someone who will go un-named was is a horrible mood and just made everything worse.

What a happy day
