Dietically speaking, I started my day with coffee (and some cake) at around 11 am and am moving on to instant soup with noodles out of a plastic bag at half past 2 pm, French fries pending. That's it about healthy lifestyle.

    :coffee:

I was attacked by the other faculty in my department this morning after mentioning the fact that if I don't get at least a pot of coffee in the morning, I am worthless for the rest of the day.

    Unhealthy, they said!!

    Unhealthy???

    bah.

I'm no longer alone in the house! The new housemate moved in yesterday.

Now for the other two to show up.

Ah, the joys of university life.

@Laiwethel I know how you feel. Room mates are like flowers. At first they are sweet and nice to be around then all of a sudden they grow vines and start to smother you. Oh the joy of sharing a bathroom with three other girls.

    @ DHB

Try the same with three guys -a very, very good reason to get your own apartment. Lucky me: got one only 8 months later. Been living all by myself for over a year now. :)

    @DHB

We actually have one and a half bathrooms here. There's a small one under the stairs that is very useful.

I was in this house with two of the other girls here last year, so we know each others habits, but this new one, I don't know much about.

    Here's to interesting times. :D

I feel like a used bag of glue...

And that isn't like fruitcake at all! Is a bag of wigs like a crate full of pigs?

    Alcohol now that's the spirit!

Well, I'm going to be offline for who know how long soon. Hurricane Frances is due to make landfall Friday night and really tear up most of Florida. Two hurricanes in three weeks is a bit much for one state to cope with.

Question: are there any laws in Floida (or other hurricane-prone states) which require employers to let employees take time off when hurricanes threaten? Or could an employer force people to work (and fire them if they didn't)?

    PS - good luck Stefanina

    Answer: It's Florida, USA. U-S-A. :p

Next week the reading starts again. One course = 1-2 books, 20 courses = 20-40 books. That is about 40-80 books in a year. :whoa:

PS. Good luck Stefanina -don't let Frances get you.

IIRC, Kamikaze = vodka + triple sec + lime juice.

Ugh, Lai, seems Kamikaze where you live is different to Kamikaze where I live, hehe. I remember it well, we would go for a shot or two after classes in highschool. It was blue Bols (kind of Curacao, 24% alc.) with a little lemon juice and perhaps vodka.
