Oh yeah I forgot to mention, this teacher of mine was also crud due to the fact that if you sat at the front of the room, he would spit on you whilst he was lecturing, we were thinking about doing him for indecent assault (I'm sure spitting comes under that somewhere...), kinda reminds me of daffy duck...

You know...that WOULD be awesome...because data is sent in little blips of electicity, which is by effect weightless...so transferring SO much of it in a second that it actually ends up weighing 1.5 MG...what with charged electrons, which weigh verry little, would mean that it was a lot of data.

    Or something.

I feel sooo nerdy right now.

Ofelix, are you joking...? You're actually reading anti-propaganda in your English (err... American?) classes? Bizarre. I'd like to take a look at that teacher's curriculum...

I remember once losing a point on a spelling test on the word "endeavor" because I spelled it "endeavour." The teacher didn't buy my excuse that that was the only way I had ever seen the word in print - guess she didn't like the idea of a sixth-grader who preferred to read her Mom's Agatha Christie novels over the stupid list of spelling words...

When is Rome, yada yada yada.

I once got an answer wrong in a grade four social studies class because I said that the pioneers we were studying used "birchbark canoes" when in the paper we had to study from it said "beautiful birch bark canoes" I got it wrong because I didn't use the word beautiful. Figure that.

Id get drawn and quatered if I ever used any americanisms in my school work.
Now in college, I could teach these vernac freaks how to pronounce the damn alphabet

"Di phins encrej di surphaj area of di en-g-in so thhat mor ear phlow decrejej temphatur ..."

In english that would have read as: "The fins increase the surface area of the engine so that more air flow decreases the temperature..."

... But that is how endeavour is spelt! It tickles me how Americans change the most stupid and subtle things in the English language just do try and give themselves some indiviuality.

    Bless!

No offense, but do you know what tickles me?

When the English say "change" instead of "changed." It's not like we have "let's screw with the English language and piss off those guys across the Atlantic" meetings every afternoon!

You want to blame someone? Blame Noah Webster (who was an active Federalist and pamphleteer in the 1790s) and the desire of nineteenth century Americans to be American rather than English!

    Don't blame "Joe American"!

It's well in the past - move on!

    (all apologies for the rant)

    /rant off

No, period. Grammaticaly it is the same as in France. However what change is words we use and expression. Oraly their is a *little* difference but written it's the same thing.

@Tal: yep I'm not kidding, we will discuss the dangers of comunism... I mean the cold war ended (or was close the it's end) before I was born

And someone in my class didn't the know the difference between the USSR and today's Russia
But he's a special case of extreme stupidity

That's what I tough... I'll write british from now on.

The dangers of communism need to be discussed so that we don't get any more lefties growing in comfort and praising a totalitarian system pushing the victims into such poverty and misery that they can't imagine. Down with the reds! Or up, if you mean it in a tree branch and rope context.

Got to hang out with friends tonight with no disasters. Between storms, and helping friends deal with landlords that I swear were disguised demons. Oh well, at least they're ex landlords now.

Yay for bieng able to relax for the first time in two months!

I finished two assignments and wrote two quizzes in two days, and now I have another two assignments due for next week, and an annotated bibliography for the week after.

Why did I decide to take four courses this semester?
