    My brother phoned me on monday to tell me that an old aquantence of ours had passed away alone in his trailer the previous weekend. I hadn't seen this person in probably about 5 years. My brother hadn't seen him for about a year. He was diagnosed with diabetes around ten years ago. Unfortunatly the diabetes didn't go well with his habit of heavy drinking. We all make our choices and his choice was to drink away all the pain of his life and the additional pain of poor health. I'm surprised he lasted this long.

    I asked my brother when the funeral was and where this friend was going to be buried. I thought that I would go and at least put some flowers on his grave. My brother told me that nobody could find any next of kin so there would probably be neither a funeral or a grave site. He didn't even know who was going to take the ashes.

    I guess I don't really have much more to say. I just had to say something.

    Wow, what a way to end one's life. I think it's sad that he has no tracable family...seems like such a waste.

    On a brighter topic, I just got a new floor lamp! Now I can actually see! :rolling:

    Some people might remember my linguistic problem I've posted in Rb 26 the Brithish/American spelling.

    Well I've got an answer from my teacher

    ¨Since this a second language program the ministery has judged that american spelling will be easier to learn to regluar student ¨

    Howerver I am in enrich class. But she has said that we must use amercian spelling because the regular do, so we'll have the same basic english skills in all the school.

    This perticular case is only in my school. All other school regular learn american spelling while enrich class learn british.

    What the shcool didn't realise is that the final english exam for the enrich program *is* written in british...

    Excuse me but this is the Lamest excuse ever :flaming:

    Well, I really can't, since I actually plan to write for publishing, for once! And even in my native language!

    *hits the wall with her head*

    If I do it "right", I shall write like crazy for November, edit even more during December and drop it off to the publishers in January.

    this time next year, I shall be published.

    @Ofelix: I hate it when teachers spell things the British way but speak American. Can't make up their mind or just don't have a faint idea of what they are doing?

    Ha! Where I work we use both metric and imperial measurements . Although I live in a metric using country 1/2 the people still seem to think in imperial and the other 1/2 of the people don't know about how to convert the measures. It's pretty funny and very confusing.
