I've been playing several games recently, and most of them are turn basedp; for example Phantasy Star Collection, Advance War 2, and it got me thinking: Man I'm glad life isn't turn-based.

It sure would be frustrating to only be able to walk like 30 feet, or grab something, and then have to wait until everyone else in the world went before I could do anything else.

In short, I'm glad that the world is real-time.

9:45 pm and my exam for Egyptian archaeology is at 5:00 pm tomorrow. :aaa: I am so dead.

It doesn't help that I've got another archaeology exam coming up on Wednesday. :bang:

The one thing I have to look forward to is the Classics Club movie night on Thursday night, after my choir rehersal. We get to watch "Stargate: The Movie". :rolling: I am such a geek.

Just put down something deep and meaningful about the Armana period and you'll be fine. Add some theory about the Hyksos for extra points. Don't mention anything about the pyramids being built by aliens - you'll get zero marks (talking from experience here....d'oh!)

    Lol, Harbourboy!

We haven't gotten as far as the Hyksos yet. Before my break, we were talking about the Great Pyramids being built in the Old Kingdom.

Being built by aliens? Possibly. They could have been used as landing platforms for alien ships. :p

I really need to stop watching Stargate: SG-1.

I was suprised to hear that someone watches Stargate SG:1 at all. It's on at Saturdays at 4. Tell me that isn't an odd hour.

Up here, it's on Monday to Friday at 11 am and 8 pm. Season 7 is shown Thursdays at 10 pm. Still no sign of Season 8 for us Canadians yet.

But yes, Saturdays at 4 is a strange hour for such a great show to be on.

It's plain madness to think you can take a whole month and hibernate it. Much better to simply go into hibernation yourself.
