On a completely unrelated note, Harbourboy, who/what is Buck and why bring him/it back?

Buck Shelford was the tough undefeated captain of the All Blacks (and icon of North Harbour rugby) in 1986 when he was controversially dumped from the team. For years afterwards, fans would carry banners to games carrying the message "Bring Back Buck". They never did, but we're still hoping.

*emerges from dark room full of scary monsters, blinks, rubs eyes*

Nothing got done today. I did, however, enjoy a very nice glass of sherry, so not all was lost.

*returns to dark room full of scary monsters, settles down to commune*

    A commune?

 That has to be one of the funniest double-entendres ever. I think he meant commune this way:

    1. To be in a state of intimate, heightened sensitivity and receptivity, as with one's surroundings: hikers communing with nature.

*Gets out of the fire. Need to try again. Perhaps after she's finished the stuff she's drinking.*

Disaster. Morning and no coffee in the house. Fortunately, uni starts at 5 pm today. And I'm quite awake already right now. Still might end up drinking instant cappuccino.

If anyone remembers a couple of pages back, chev (IIRC) commented on not knowing exactly what Mountain Dew is, well I've heard it's supposed to be something like Solo or Lift but with pear juice instead of lemon. At the very least, I've heard it's citrus.

And Nick Cave was better with The Bad Seeds than with The Dirty Three.

Oh yeah, had a busy day at work today and had a great day with my son yesterday (my youngest son that is). AND shock-horror, my youngest's mother was actually NICE to me yesterday. Maybe she actually heard some of the things I said outside court last week. I'd think she would have considering I was trying to say them loud enough for her to hear without being obvious about it.
