I just bit my tongoue. I think I was so hungry, I tried to eat more than it was advised. It even bled a little, now it just stings like hell.

Note to self: Eat more carefully.

I'm gonna' go find some chocolate.

Try eating something really cold like a popsicle or a slurpy. That might help with the bitten tongue. *Dragonfly gives 'Heal Simple Wounds' potion to Lord Garak*

Anybody else ever wonder what it would be like to fly? You know, without the help of an aircraft, or other device. Imagine how cool that would be.

Have imagined it (don't we all?)

And even managed to fall from a fair height, some time ago. From what I can recall the experience was exhilarating - frightening, and somewhat stress-filled (I was old enough to realize this would hurt, but young enough to mend up the broken arm fairly quickly :) ) - but yes, it seemed to be thrilling.

If I had been in *controlled*flight* instead of free-fall? I'd have to say it'd have been a wonderful experience, instead of the basis of my now nearly-recovered-from acrophobia :heh:

I sometimes dream I'm growing wings. You know, those demon-like leathery things.

Never dreamed about tails or horns though, so no need to worry. :D

Flying; I can never keep the cape tied. An umbrella is no help either (Julie Andrews *lies*).

I really like Tyrael's wings from Diablo II. They'd definitely be my mode of transport of choice.* And they can be used as extra limbs in a pinch, kind of like 'cubi wings in the DMFA strip...

*Well, either that or Darth Vader's X1 prototype... :D :tie:

Now everything is almost at an acceptable speed. Now I can play normaly 2d games, including bg2 (which is about the only 2d game I have). But it still lagg like hell for 3d games.

I re-ask again the computer cl(j)erk and he still insist for a complete Formating, and of course the 50$ fee for WinXP. I don't know what to do.

Do I format and maybe solve the problem also loosing all my data while doing it. Or keep it at this snail like speed and use it primary as a school tool, for I will inevitably have many work to do at college.

50 bucks for windows XP? It costs way more. I doubt you could find a new OEM copy for anything less than 150 USD. Is he offering you a pirate copy or what? Or did you buy the computer and the buggers withhold your very own CD from you?

Though I can't speak to the legality of it, it's a common practice in most computer shops to re-install XP for a small fee (i.e. $50). They're supposed to check your computer to make sure it has a unique license, but some don't even bother to do that.

Finally some work today, but my back won't let me get it done. I should have it done by the deadline though...

@Felinoid: Ah, I see. So it's just the bucks for fatigue, not for making the OS available to you. I'm not sure about the legality of it, but you need a CD key to install your Windows and that CD-key is tied to you, it also being one CD-key per person. Strange indeed. It looks illegal to me but I can't be sure from what I know.

I used to practice lucid dreaming. Every time I was able to realize that I was actually dreaming I'd go flying.

    - By the way, please check out my poll in online adventures, I'm very curious about this one.
