Time to get random - and sorry if I already used this quote:

Those who dance are considered insane by those who can't hear the music. - George Carlin

    ---

Oh, and here's the Straight Dope on cheese puffs, cheeze curls, etc. "Cheese Twists" is the name on this bag ala Loblaws:

Cheese IS an ingredient - three varieties in fact - but as a part of a PART of an ingredient:
Now, the 'seasoning' is the last primary ingredient on the list - nothing after the '}' - and ingredients are listed by proportion - more cornmeal than seasoning, for example. MSG only appears on latter parts of the 'sub-lists'(it appears -after- the *cheese* in "Cheese Powder Blend"; ergo more cheese than MSG in the powder at least :) )

So these...er, things sound relatively safe...apart from the fairly significant presence of vegetable oil...

I miss bazouki music. I should try to find some so I don't feel so homesick for Crete.

And I have officially decided that Cicero =

It's gonna be a late night.

/me pours a cup of :coffee: and wanders off

/me hands Lai feta cheese, gyros and baklava

They're the only Greek foods I know off by heart. Enjoy. :yum:

    Congrats Ara!

Okay, now you guys aren't helping me get over the whole homesickness thing....

I am craving souvlaki, gyros, horiatiki (village/Greek salad) and baklava. :yum: I'll pass on the Ouzo though. Not a fan of that stuff. I'll have some raki though.

/me decides to pack herself into Dendri's suitcase

Lai, be my guest. Alas, that means no spare boxers. :hahaerr:
Anyhow, I will make sure the suitcase isnt dropped and stomped on - excessively.
But! we are not travelling to Crete. That you must know. Been there, loved it, want to see the next piece of Greece. Thassos it is.

Oh, and no Cicero! I am travelling with light luggage only.

    Raki... must... stop... drooling...

He couldn't understand me somtimes, but that's more to do with my strange accent than anything. He was incredibly fluent and his vocabulary pissed on mine.

I'd love to be really fluent in other languages.

Hydrogenated Canola Oil is reason in itself not to eat a cheese puff. As for the rest of those ingredients, the stuff looks positively radioactive.

Dendri, I can live with Thassos. Haven't had the chance to go there yet. And don't worry, I won't be bringing any Cicero with me. I can't stand the guy.

If you come to Canada, I can give you some raki... I brought some back when I came back from Crete.

/me cradles her bottle of raki

I love this stuff so much.

Naw, why not bring the raki along? We have a good stiff one together. :D Your ride might be a bit more bumpy when I stagger about with the suitcase in tow, but its a worthy start-off.

As for Thassos: I am curious what it will be like. People are almost raving when telling of that island. :)
