yes! thesis topic was approved!! woohoo! now to do the actual work, got 2 weeks to pull a rabbit out of my ass (figuratively) by doing a review of related literature of about 40 pages based on 50 articles which i still ahve to look for. 3 finals aside from this too. argh.

Gee, it's only the first of December and my workplace already looks like if it was Christmas Eve, all full or garlands and shiny balls... Listening to carols for a month will get on my nerves.

Bah... humbug!

 

Go me! I just managed to get the fire alarm going by trying to light a candle....

You people are quite lucky today. I nearly bought the farm last night/this morning. The balsamic vinegar melange of my pesto sauce avenged itself for being eaten on my supper.

Jolted out of a sound sleep and out of bed to the bathroom, where the horking and coughing proceeding to commence. Right where your tonsils are/used to be was this massive wash of acid. *yelch* I tried everything - water, milk, pop, bread - nothing helped. Hubby stumbled after me when I began keening in agony and found me curled up next to the toilet.

He forced me to gargle with warm water. I didn't want to because my stomach was all bloated with air and those liquids, but I did. It helped and him being there to lean on (instead of falling onto the floor) did, too. To get rid of the leftover acid, I scratched inside my throat with a couple fingers soaked in water, then drank some milk and let it dribble into the ravaged folds.

After this, I felt better enough to lay down sitting up on the couch. I slept on and off for a few hours, making 2 trips to the bathroom to get rid of what didn't come up through my mouth. When I felt comfortable enough, I retreated back to bed and slept some more. My tummy's still achy and tender, but I'm feeling more human now.

In my head, it felt like a sheep with bloat dreaming it was the center of the chest burting scene in Alien!.

 

/me carefully huggles kuemper, gives her belgian hot chocolate drink with mini-marshmallows for poorly throat and tummy

... to the supermarket, unsure whether to buy ...

 

You are very nice to help Kuemper, DarkStrider, but are you sure that belgian hot chocolate drink with mini-marshmallows is the most appropriate thing for her right now?

*Dfly hands Kuemper some soda crackers and chicken broth*

 

@Dfly not the crackers too much salt!!! Broth excellent, but you see you're a mummy and do things properly accordingly I was giving her COMFORT food for her wellbeing As you point out though only if she eats her broth

... the ready-mad sauce or the concentrate which ...

What a wonderfull day it was, the day I got paid Time to buy some new&cool stuff, new metal CDs and and if anything's left, support SP.

Thank ye all for the well wishes and nummy goodness. Strangely, I felt best after eating a handful of all dressed potato chips. The plain bread I ate for lunch sat in my tummy like a rock.

On another note, I just did a bit of shopping and got some buzzin new clobber . Looking sharp

 

Finland. Which means I can drag my broke self to an office and fill some forms and eventually get some cash. I'm gonna start eyeing out for jobs too.
