    Does anyone know anything about pre-marriage customs in the 18th and 19th centuries? Did the bride and groom usually get separated from each other, and was the bride sort of isolated from him? I need to get a little information on it, so that I can make a conclusion about a character in a book, but I am not sure...

    I am trying to say that she is trying to keep with the old custom of the bride staying away from the groom (or being protected from him by her father) before getting married, but I'm not exactly sure if that happened or not...

    @ Kuemp - You still have baby teeth?!? Man! You must have got shorted by the tooth fairy as a kid. So what happens if you lose any of them? Is there another tooth awaiting to come out or maybe that is where the wisdom teeth will appear!

    Good morning people, I believe I'm one of the oldest here having looked at threads on age but I'm afraid my wisdom score is only 6 I sacrificed it to get an intelligence score of 21; probably explains why I'm still a teenager mentally :roll: :nuts:

    @Saber - I think the bride not being with the groom was to keep her pure and chaste and for the wedding to actually go ahead. Hey, if you can get the milk for free, why buy it? :lol:

    I am determined to go to the bank today and sever my ties. This means walking a couple miles, but getting that :money: sucking fiend out of my pocket is more important than pain.
