@Dragonfly I wake up sometimes and there is a presence with me and I know it's my old cat who was in his 20th year when he died. I know it's him because of the feel of the footsteps up the duvet before he goes to sleep in his favourite position on my neck (I sleep on my side).

Heehee, when I woke up this morning, I felt something really weird brushing against my leg! It took me a couple seconds to move my leg around before I noticed that it was my other leg, which I couldn't feel. It had gone past pins and needles, and I couldn't feel it at all! It's happened to me before with my arm, which is really fun, because then you can push it with your other arm, and it moves around like an inanimate object :D

It could've been angel wings, too, Fel. Or a ballet tutu, if you prefer. ;)

Finally someone who agrees with me!
Although my line goes more like Rain is Good, Sun is Evil.
Although I've got to admit that sun in winter isn't so bad. It's the summer sun that I loathe.
Snow's great. Unfortunately it only snowed once until now, and that was two weeks ago. I miss it already :(

We had a pretty good snow fall here yesterday. I had one hell of a time walking back from dinner to my hotel around 10:30. There was quite a lot of it on the roads and sidewalks.

However, when I left my hotel this morning it had all vanished - with no curbside piles or slush. I must say, we should send the Toronto snow removing team down here to take some lessons.

No! Winter was invented by nature, and I second whoever said that winter is nice! Cold is awsome and heat is evil.

EEEEEEEvil clothing companies! :skeptic: Clothing chafes my fur, and sometimes will even grab a strand and jam it into the pore; very painful, and no obvious cause until it gets inflamed. :flaming: Even sweating 'til my fur was sticking together (like this past summer) would be preferable, and you seem to be forgetting the best part about summer: NO SCHOOL! Summer rules! :p Winter puts that slippery **** all over the roads, too. :grr:

@ Darkstrider - My present cat is already 16 and she and I have always had a special bond. It seems to me that when her time comes she might decide to stick around a little too. Strangly enough her name is Ghost. When she was much younger and had a batch of kittens she actually woke me up in the middle of the night to be with her while it happened. At night she will visit the other members of the house but it is my feet that she chooses to sleep between. As I said, my other cat moved on when he passed. I think Ghosty however will always be with me.

You must have a special bond with you cat.

Those stories of numb limbs remind of something I once heard a couple of highschool boys talk about...apparently a numb hand is very good for a certain specific task. I'll leave it to everyone's imagination, these were teenage boys after all.

    Well...once again, I am dirt poor. :(

The bills keep piling up...and we have to come up with at least $2000 to fix our car that's been at the shop for the psat 3 months. At this point, the only way were going to be able to get current with all our bils is if we both get a hefty tax rebate check from our Income Taxes...But it's going to be about 4-5 months or so before we see any check from the government. Last year I got all my taxes back, and I can only hope that this year I get the same sweet deal.

I hate being poor. :sosad:

But on the bright side of things, our supply of Mac-N-Cheese is being heavily used. :rolling:
