    That lasagna was great. :yum:

It's good to see I haven't lost the touch. :D

But maybe I abused of the garlic butter a slight bit on the toasts. If you don't want to be exorcised, stand at least 10 feets from me :shake:

*EDIT* Hey kuemp, you still got chocolate oranges laying around?

well actuclly smell of garlic butter wouldn't exorcise any vampire or semi-undead or undead object 'cause it smells more like a foot than a garlic.

Babble babble...not so much random...but still babble.

Aside from that, my fiance has her wedding dress now. WTF is it with people and not letting the "groom to be" see the the F***ing dress?!? I'm paying for the damn thing, if I want to see what I'm spending $700 on, I WILL! :bang:

I got in trouble with my fiance's maid of honor when I walked in to the dress store. She said, "What are you doing here? Go back to the car and wait! You can't see the dress!" So I told her, "The F*** I can!" and pushed her aside.

That's such a stupid tradition...I'm paying for it, so *I* want to see if the dress looks good on her before I hand over my credit card. :rolling:

Kitrax, seriously guy, don't mess with the tradition. You may not believe in it but if your bride and bridesmaid etc. see you "wreaking havoc" and upsetting a tradition (And you should know that being a bride is serious business for some people) then things just might not go so smoothly. If your bride is at all superstitious then she might get seriously upset about the "bad-luck" aspect of the whole groom-not-seeing-the-dress thing. You've heard about self-fulfilling prophesy right? My advice is don't mess with the tradition even if you don't believe in it.

Besides, you are marrying her right? You better start trusting in some of her decisions because marriage is not easy and with no trust you have a very hard road to go. ....IMHO

From what I could find, seeing the bride in her wedding gown is bad luck for the bride. If she sees herself in a mirror while wearing the entire ensemble, she will feel she left something behind in her old life. So, it's alright for Kitrax to see his fiancee in her dress, but not *her*!

@DS: Thanks, dad. You should know me well enough to know dark chocolate is my favorite :p

@Kitrax: That's the spirit. Traditions are bull**** and need to be challenged. You've been cranked up a few levels in my esteem, dude. :thumb:

In my mind superstitions are one step away from religion. You're believing in something that's not real, nor has any power what-so-ever.

There is be few (if any) tradition in our wedding. I never asked her father's permission to marry her, she won't even be walked down the isle by him...at this point, he'll be lucky if he gets an invitation. "Traditionally" the bride's parents pay for the wedding, and the groom's parents pay for the wedding rehearsal dinner. Well, she hats her dad, and her mom is poor...and my parents are giving us $1000 towards the honeymoon, and my mom makes professional looking wedding cakes, and that's all they're willing to do. Also, I'm not your average "I'd rather hire J. Lo. to plan everything for me" type of guy. It may be *her* day...but it's my wedding too! Most of her bride's maids are VERY good looking, and I want some say in the style of dress that *we* will be buying them. Knowing me, I'll opt for the a dress that has the biggest plunging neckline, and knowing my fiancé, she'll agree with me! Wedding ceremonies are always boring, and I'll need something to keep my eyes occupied...

Ladies, do forgive me, but most of the wedding tradition and superstitions are total Bullsh**! I'm just glad I have a fiancé that feels the same way...on most of it that is.

    On a side note...

You know that feeling of satisfaction you get when your car’s odometer rolls over to 100K miles? Well…I have a similar feeling now that my post count has finally rolled over to 3000 posts! :thumb: :rolling:

:D I don't want to start a discussion that should belong in the AODA so this is the last I'll say on the matter.

If you BELIEVE in something, then it has power over you. Whether it be real or not.

I don't personally believe in a lot of traditions or superstitions but I respect the beliefs of others.
