Yay! Money is good. I finally picked up the second half of my student loan today, and the government is being generous this year :thumb:

The downside is that I'll have to repay it eventually.

Pfft...you guys think *your* town's water is icky...my city just switched which well they were using, so now the water is so "hard" that it leaves a nasty white film on all the dishes after a cycle through the dishwasher. :bang: On the plus side, you get a full daily supliment of the basic minerals just by drinking a glass of it! :shake:

When I move back in with my parents, I'm going to help them buy a home water filitration/water softener system. :rolling:

Well, well, well, what about that, I got my damn paycheck today instead of tomorrow. Can't say I'm sad. Grocery store time tomorrow... finally no more ramen noodles for the time being. Yayness. And I can pay the 20$ I owe my brother too. Sweet.

I work in a shoe shop... it's called Regence. I make the plastic soles of shoes and the shells of winter boots... boring stuff, but at least I got a bonus of $1.10 per hour for doing night shifts. Not bad.

Shouldn't you make time and a half for after hours?

In anycase, I'm sick, some throat thing... hurts like a, well, lot. Medicine is nice, and Dane Cook rocks!

Nope. Time and a half is for overtime, and I have the night bonus as well. But I don't like doing overtime, since whatever extra money I make is chewed off my paycheck by the ****ing government. 41% of my paycheck is chopped off. :flaming:

    I hate Quebec.

Haha DoTW, my shift-diff is higher than your's! :p My shift bonus is 15%...so each time I get a raise, my hourly bonus goes up too! :money: My shift-diff. is currently $1.36

Yay for the night shift! Personally, I like working the night shift better than the morning shift. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "I can stay up all night 'till 7am, I just can't wake up *at* 7am!" :p :rolling:

Yeah, long live night shifts, Kitrax, like Undertaker said, waking up in the morning gives the feeling of having solid sludge instead of a brain... I have no problems going to sleep at 7am, but I do have a problem with waking up at the same hour...

I'm supposed to get a raise soon, according to the foreman. Salary raises at the shop are calculated on the number of hours worked, and I am like a week away from a raise. The night bonus is supposed to raise a bit, too. Not sure if this is a good thing since I'll get the extra chewed by the government. Grrrrr.

:whoa: You can actually *use* your water??? When I say icky, I mean brown; tobacco brown from the bottom of a moldy spitoon. Try some Jetdry to get rid of that film or do it the old-fashioned way: wash by hand. :p I'd love hard water right now. I would at least be drinkable.

I wish summer was here already. That would be nice. Go outside in shorts and a halter-top and get chased by mosquitoes....well o.k. , maybe not the mosquitoes are such a good thing.

Hell no. Summer sucks. Winter is the best season, but this has already been debated before.

Well I've discovered a new useless passtime - at least for a couple of days. I'm playing internet point-and-click games. Some of them are quite entertaining but some of them are too damn hard.

I rather liked "Bake A Cake with Sartha Muart." Mostly because of its twisted sense of humor.

Leftover cheesecake makes the best late night snack. :yum:

And I've got a new gem! The King's Tear is now mine, and I'm still on course at 500 posts a month ('tis my 7 month anniversary tomorrow), meaning that I should get the coveted rogue stone some time in mid February.

In SP ranking news: I'm currently at #13 (lucky 13!), only 30 posts behind joacqin, and kuemper is at #11, with nearly 250 posts to go to beat out Sir Bel and bust into the top ten. Let's see if she can make it by the end of January...
