Napalm wouldn't work well unless the apartment is made mostly of wood. Because AFAIK Napalm isn't a great explosive but a splendid fire starter/keeper (means that Napalm makes a good long fierce fire).

so...just go outside and throw granades into the apartment...that should do the job safely.

That's why I suggest using Napalm along with C4. The C4 blows the place, the Napalm sets it aflame

My, my, we have many demolition experts here, it seems...

You had metal frame glasses, tall (5' 10" - 6') and erm, *defined* would be appropriate here. Nice 6 pack. :p

Making up stuff on the fly is fun, as long as other don't post while I'm busy typing.

BTW, Big Cat, I vaguely remember Chev saying that volleyball is a girlish sport.

Admit it, chev. You said that.

Is not. Shiny, eye-mutilating pink ROCKS!

and in other news, my baathroom is flooding. The joy!

it wouldn't be half as bad if not for the fact that my apartment has no doorsteps and only sliding doors - water in the foyer and bedroom, too, thusly. *sigh*

With all our housing problems we should set up our own country on a remote island somewhere and call it Sorcerer's Place. Tal could be King and Chev prime minister and we'd all have great housing, never have to work and just play games all day long. On second thoughts we might have to eat occasionally so some of us could work as farmers for an hour or so each day, in shifts. We could all marry each other and have daily multiplayer sessions on the PCs. Maybe our country could actually be on the moon, though it might be a bit cold so a remote island is a better idea. What does everyone else think?

Don't know about the marry part, but the rest sounds great. Remote tropical island for sure, I am so sick of winters.

I suppose this means I have to give up one of my houses for this?

I've worked hard for those and I don't owe anything on them, not even council tax.

The US ones are liable for city and state taxes but those are paid by my cousin who lives in one and his ex-wife and kids who live in the other in lieu of rent.

The RSA one is rented by my mate who rents it out to other people and he pays the rates on that. The house has 8 bedrooms, a swimming pool and a tennis court on 6 acres of land, so you can imagine the council tax on that one if it was here. When I bought the house in 1985 it cost me £30,000.

The house in Mauritius where my parents live most of the time and look after it for me I pay local taxes as a landowner (it's 12 acres with a private beach and private road).

Council tax sucks. I hate handing the money over for one so I feel for you DarkStrider. Do you have to pay council tax on the non -Uk ones? or is it more like rates
