I'm reading a book (Firstborn) with a great plot, but really ****ty editing. I mean, come on, did they read it before printing it? There are periods and commas missing, or out of place, or just too many of them... it really pisses me off, but the actual story and characters are good enough to keep me in...

First days of school are SO boring.

At least the teachers I've met so far are all nice fellas.

Yeah, mean teachers blow. 'Specially when they hate you, specifically.

So close to leveling up a couple core skills tonight! I'm too tired of sitting, or my knee is anyway.

Yeah, I had a mean teacher who hated me once. Ms. Quinn in 4th grade. Although really, she was just a strong teacher at a time when I hated everything because my dad had remarried. It's all a matter of perspective; very few teachers get into it to be mean. ;)

Here's a phrase I heard that's quite alarming out of context:
"The next time you take a trip, make it an assassination vacation."

Today was fun. Guest lecture in Myth, and one of the other profs in the department took the guest lecturer and some students (including yours truly) out to lunch. Granted, we all had to pay our own way for food, but he paid for our drinks :D Got to my next class slightly late, but with a pint of  in my system. Very interesting experience, a 2 hour class on Aegean Bronze Age while slightly buzzed. :thumb:

I went to my work's "holiday" party tonight. The place they had it was at a place called "The 23rd Floor" up on the Wells Fargo Tower in downtown SLC...and aperently, it's so popular, when they booked it, the only available date was January 30th.

Oh well...free food, free liquor, free entertainment, and a DJ made the wait worth it. :thumb: :rolling:
