I had the weirdest dream last night. I was in New York City, for some reason. And it was full of wide, empty, beautiful places, which is rather unusual for NY. But the Empire States Building looked soooo beautiful...

And so did the Eiffel Tower (which was a couple of blocks away... don't ask), even though one of its bases was not there, for some reason. I thought it looked rather precarious, but no one else seemed to mind.

Waking up from the dream to go to worked sucked, but now I'm back home and the weekend can finally begin!

    Chev quote for today:

I can't figure out this pizzeria menu. Too complicated. I'd better return to my IQ test...

I had a long and tiring but very enjoyable day today. We spent the morning touring the Forbidden City and then in the afternoon went out to the Great Wall.

From the point where we got up onto the Great Wall we had the choice of going in either direction - the catch being that one way was a relatively easy climb but fairly crowded while the other way was very steep and as a result almost deserted. Naturally I chose the very steep way and I am feeling sore now as a result. Amusingly the male members of my audit team all went up the steep side while the females opted for the easier side - it is so nice to see that macho stupidity is alive and well. ;)

I'm scarffing those cookies for breaky now. :yum:

@Ziad - Not so weird if you've played Civ 2.

You know what bothers me now? Women who's eyebrows are so plucked and raised that they have a permanent, perpetually surprised look on their faces. Such as Rosamund Pike from Die Another Day and Doom.

It's not necessarily evil. It just takes some skill to do it right. It just can't be too obvious and the surprised look had better be avoided.
