I know my babblins have been short of late. I was saving up.

Today, the toilet had had enough. We've had plumbing probs for a week now - backing up water and that. I went to start a load of laundry, got it going and heard gurgling from the bathroom. I run and check and the toilet is bubbling. One minute later, we hear splurshing. Hubby checks. Toilet is vomiting water all over the floor. He runs to shut off the washer and I try to grab the plunger.

My right foot slips and gets trapped under the wall mounter radiator. Its a water pipe running about 2 inches off the floor with a metal covering hiding it. My foot jammed under the metal part. Now, I'm stuck, doing the splits with one foot get ripped up by metal corners and the other sliding through an inch of sewer water.

I start screaming for hubby. He's screaming for his dad. He helps me stand up and get my foot freed. I hobble to bed, crying about my bleeding foot and soaked pants.

Anyway, a plumber gets called. I'm upstairs with bandages and ointment, getting hubby to clean my wounds. The foot turned a lovely shade mix of purple and black with several bloody scrapes across the top. While he's cleaning me up, his mother tops the cake with her comments:

MIL: "What happened to your foot?"
Hubby: "She got it stuck under the radiator! Didn't you hear her screaming for help?"
MIL: "I did, but it stopped after a while."
    :smash:

I think they made a big cerfluffel about the popes Ipod a while back. I'm not sure what he has on it but I can imagine what he doesn't have on it.

@DS - So where the pasta and bread as good as I think they were?

I'm sorry Kuemp :( I hope you toilet stops getting sick, and for your mother to be more sensitive. At least hubby was very gracious.

Winter vacation was two weeks in between semesters (after 18 weeks straight), and spring break is the only vacation in the entire second semester. Summer vacation is 13 weeks. MATC seems to have a "work 'em 'til they drop and then wait for them to get back up so we can work them some more" attitude. :shake:

What does MATC stand for, how much longer are you there, and is it worth it (the work)?

Just remember Kuemp - One good turn deserves another  Mother-in-law will probably give you an opportunity to repay her the favor at some point. Just wait for it.

I forgot the big scrape on my wrist from clinging to the wall!

My dwarven constitution kicked in and the bruising is that 1970s avacodo green and the scrapes are scarring.

This mod idea is a true pain.

Just been skimming old RBs looking for Shell and Dfly's posts, and I'm quite saddened at seeing some missing avatars (like Nobleman). But I guess change comes to all. And more than that, I am saddened by the sight of one SPer who has since passed. So, in his honor, I offer this tribute:

babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble babble

Would that I had known ye, Tobias.

I remember when Tobias died. That was very sad. I think they renamed the RBP at that time in his honor. I believe he died of an asthma attack.

I believe the Pope's iPod has some clasical music in addition to teligious stuff. He plays the piano, you know.

I bet the Pope listens to Wagner.

There should be a "What do famous people listen to?" thread in the Whatnots. It'd be fun, I reckon.
