Ah, I find the halls of SP mostly deserted at this hour. Some measly 14 individuals lol about. What fun it would be to spread confusion and chaos with so few standing guard.

Too bad I totally lack the imagination required for such ambitions. :(

/mumbles some more and leaves eventually

Blech. I got a nasty burn while welding at work. Hurts like hell. I was welding something above my head, and some hot metal dropped on my thigh and burned it's way through my pants, only to fall just a few inches away from my, err... intimates. I kinda look like an idiot with ice on my crotch.

Well we rushed to the bank today to open a new account. Rushed because the banks open this miniscule window of opportunity to actually deal with the public. You would think that they would cater more towards full time workers and have a few later hours (open until 6 on wed + thurs doesn't cut it) and maybe even open for a while on a saturday (GASP). But nooooo, you have to sneak away from work if you need to deal with a person at the bank. 10am to 4pm. What the hell kind of useful are those hours?

/me pummels HB for being such a smartass

Volleyball was great (one of my spikes went absolutely perfectly down the line to win a game), but the experience afterward kind of wrecked it. I go along with everyone to the Pizza Oven, expecting to have some late dinner with my friends, but instead I spend a mind-numbing hour-plus watching these pansies play cribbage and euchre with no food! Now it's past midnight and I'm about to dig into something that will probably keep me up a couple more hours.

****, ****, ****. I'm running out of ice. Oh well, guess I'm gonna have to cope with that ****ing burn. Remember, kiddies: welding can be dangerous.

Picking up my new phone tomorrow. w00t.

DoTW, do you have blisters on that burn or is the skin broken? If/when the skin is layers are off make sure that you keep it clean. There are lots of germs in that area and infestion is a huge risk with burns. It doesn't jurt to put some kind of bandaids or dressing on it, you can even put some antibiotic ointment on under the dressing.

Brallrock, nah, the skin isn't broken, but it's a pretty vile burn and I'm fairly certain it will probably fill with plasma and make one huge bulb. I'm letting it breathe for the moment, but I'll probably put some gauze on tomorrow.

The molten metal actually burned RIGHT THROUGH my work pants. Lucky for me, it was just some regular MIG welding. I shudder to think the burn I'd have if it was aluminium. Luckily, I do not weld that metal.
