My internet stopped working for no apparant reason last night, then this morning, before anyone had a chance to fix it, it started again. R.A.N.D.O.M.

Anyway, my French exam went alright, not too bad, and I managed to survive 2 1/2 hours of sitting still without exploding.

Today's exam: History. Chamberlain, and Anglo-German relations, 1918-1939.

I think we can summarise that as "frosty".

What did you think it was made of?

Now that Passover is over, I'm actually considering trying to keep kosher in some small ways - no pork, no shellfish, no mixing meat and dairy. Aside from not having things like pork chops and pork tenderloin, and skipping proper meatballs, it shouldn't be too hard to do at home. I wonder how long it will take Velcro to notice...

You'd think so, but actually, no. There was a point when the British FOreign Office actually wrote a memo stating that France was a bigger long-term threat than Germany. :D

Relations were actually not too bad until around 1933.

Unless you're going to become more Orthodox Rally I have to ask why? The reasons for those being prohibited in our diets aren't really valid anymore. (Damn my roots are showing  )

 Let me see - this new software on our work machines is supposed to

    (1) Back up "My Documents" to the network whenever we log onto or off of our computer. It appears to do this - and takes its sweet time doing it I might add.

    (2) Prevent us from installing software. It fails miserably at this. :thumb:

    (3) Stop us from saving files to the hard drive except in the my documents folder. It doesn't do that either.

Oh well, one out of three isn't bad.

O.K. - it takes roughly five minutes to shut down our laptops now. Starting them up is quicker for some reason. Also, none of us can get our windows passwords to change which means that we can't synch them with our network passwords. As a result all of us are currently stuck with the same generic windows password.

Ah, the sight of the IT dolts who set this software up scurrying around in a mad panic is a sight for sore eyes.

I would probably add a little tomato paste and a touch-o-garlic to that.

    @ Chev - Grab a coffee friend. :p

Sadly, I didn't manage to. But falling asleep during the civil procedure class awoke me for good. :D

And so I bought four beers on my way home. :shake:

And there's a bottle of four year old Beaujolais waiting for me. :shake:

    Cheers! :D
