    Well, I decided to grease the running wheel in my sons gerbil cage last night. I was pretty late so I couldn't take the cage apart to get at the wheel (or put on a good light to see what I was doing.) I dripped some vegetable oil on the back of the wheel and cured the squeeking. I had a little bit of oil on my fingers which lead one of the gerbils to think I was a snack. Anyway, in the morning I discovered the two gerbils both had greasy spiked fur. They kind of look like punk gerbils. Other than the overall greasyness of them they both seem healthy still so I guess I won't worry. I might be more careful in the future about how I fix their wheel though.

    I cannot believe how much time I wasted trying to get this wireless card to work on my laptop, when the problem was my wireless router the whole time. :bang:

    I feel so stupid, as soon as I started up the laptop here at work it hooked up to the wireless network imediately.

    I am back to posting at work, yeah baby! :banana: :banana:

    I find a decent video card to replace the crappy onboard one in my old P3, so that I can run Fedora in something bigger than 640x480... only to find out the VGA connector is too low and that I'd have to mod a part of my case to get it to work.

    Gad, I HATE desktop cases!!!

    undergraduate degree? technically my "school-time" is over since i no longer have any classes. but i'm still a student until september because i'm doing practicum right now (which i have to write a paper about :bang: ) from monday-friday 9:30-5:30 and i have community service crap on saturdays :bang:

    I sat through an hour long brief from our director that had absolutely nothing to do with me or anyone I actually work with, though it was required for all staff and faculty. :(
