    I'm so torn. My NWN guild's Persistant World is scheduled to start up this Sunday afternoon. However, my brother who lives in Texas, is driving up here for a short visit and the only time that I will be able to see him is...Sunday.

    So, I'm happy that I'll get to see my brother again and he'll be able to see his niece and nephew, but I'm also upset because I won't be around for the grand opening of the PW.

    I have seen this quite often on various net sites but I still don't know what it means. What does "[sic]" mean? I really have no idea!

    @Lazy Bonzo: [sic] is a notation you use when you're quoting something that contains typos or grammatical errors and you want to indicate that the original text was left intact. It's a way of saying "Don't blame me, I'm not the stupid git who made this boneheaded mistake in the first place."

    As for the actual Latin, ask chevalier.

    Huh -- bad me. I've always used "sic" as a way to say "I'm not sure how to spell this word, so forgive the spelling, I recognize that it is probably wrong." Oh, well.

    I have to move this weekend. I hate the hassle of moving. I hate high school kids, too.
