    My printer is long dead, it's just gone insane. Printers are inexpensive anyway, last time I checked a new printer was less expensive than ink for my current printer, I mean double you tea eff ????

    That's how printer companies make their money (I should know, I work for one :evil: )

    Get yourself a small laser printer, Ofelix. They are much cheaper in the long run if you only print in black and white.

    I have a lexmark z35 inkjet printer it is D-E-A-D it refuse to work proprely even with the official winXP lexmark driver, meh.

    Yeah it is bizarre that if you bought them seperately the ink cartridges that you receive with a new printer are more expensive than the cost that you paid for the printer. It is terrible really - everyone I know just uses the printer until the ink runs out then buys a new printer. It is truly a mind boggling waste of materials, not to mention landfill space.

    I agree it creates unnessecary wastes and is harmful to the nature and I assume to the economy as well. Doesn't it cost the government more to burry the excess of printers? What is wrong with those people?

    Not only that, but the ink cartridges rarely fit into your printer... they're all basically unique to a certain printer, so to get one is a huge hassle and costs more money than its worth :rolleyes:

    I always thought Lexmark printers were known however each time I went shopping for ink (prior to its demise) clerks asked me « which printers ?? ». MEEeeehh.

    My printer spits out roughly thousands of sheets before I need to cram in a new cartridge.

    Ink jet looks crazily expensive next to that.

    But laser printer are pretty expensive and so is its ink. I'd rather use the school's printer it's cheaper.

    Yeah, but an ink cartridge spits out thousands and thousands of sheets before needing to be replaced, making it much more of a good deal for someone who prints a lot of B&W, like I do. Of course it's more expensive... but it's worth it.

    Considering printers: one word....paper jam. Aaaaaargh.

    And I agree..cartridges are about 25 euro here...and I'm using a Lexmark Z32. (I didn't buy it. :p )
