It is a very odd feeling to be able to feel your rib in your ass. As you said, it must have dislocated and have moved down there. I am beginning to think that there is something seriously wrong with it as that is the 3rd time in the last month that it has moved down there... ;)

Edit: Finally updated my profile photo to one that is actually of me... right after taking a shot to the shoulder from a paintball gun.

    Magister,
at chess I excell in my mediocrity I guess. I'm good enough to beat my flatmate 48 out of 50 times, but he's a poor player in the sense that he tends to lose his nerve and can be put off ballance by bluffing. I'm going for a reality check the next week by pitting myself against a guy who did just that to me a decade ago. If he sweeps me off the board as he used to, I know where I stand :D

That said, I like playing chess, of course, when winning it's much better ;)

Worst thing in chess, and I'm not talking about my flatmate: Poor players who apologise permanently for how poor they play and then deliberate over every move for half an hour - in the opening  (I almost always play without a clock). That's sickening, (a) because of the lack of self-respect and (b) it is not neccessary as the opponent knows first hand how bad they play. Leaves (c) the stalling, which is simply inexcusable :flaming:

My very first lecture was supposed to be an hour long, but it ended up being 10mins long. So I ended up having around 2 hours to get to know only 'one' person. :( Oh well, at least she lives on campus so I can stay at her place when I have nothing to do hehehe. :spin: :D

Bleh it's hard trying to make new friends because it seems like everyone is already in their own little groups. I need to find people who are in the same practical group as me though...

    Textbooks are expensive.... +_+

I played all the 'latest' computer games, I played chess, I wore glasses, and I read a beep-load of books.
...And I also skated and played Hooker for the school's 'First XV' Rugby Union Team. And played Hooker (again) for the school's Rugby League 'A' Team.
I also got into a few fights at school (never lost either). But after kicking the crap out of a 'tough guy' (and getting suspended), I was never bothered again.

...Is there such thing as a 'cool' nerd?

Or, maybe I'll just settle for the double-standard. "Hooray!" for smart Rugby players!

lol...And at the department Christmas Parties, I'm always picked first for Touch Football.

Yeh, you're right there. I was lucky that a couple people in my course were in my Halls in first year. But now that we are taking almost none of the same modules I've had to try and squeeze into a couple more groups. Fortunately my modules had alot of group assignments to let people get to know each other, cos they understand the difficulty :) . Just hang in there and make friends at practicals, its the best way :p

DotW, I didn't know there was something wrong with wishing someone a speedy recovery.

Looks like the fever actually got worse and all. Well, lots of sleeping should do the trick.

Just got back from my Monday night lecture. It was pretty boring, as was the one last week but we found out a bit about the first assessment piece which doesnt sound too hard.

They are expensive arent they. I'm pretty lucky, as I only have to buy 1 text book wich is $100, whereas my friend has to buy several totaling at $400
