Hmmm, I really havent been spending all that much time on the BoM over the last couple of days. RL seems to be taking over.

 

It's bloody too late(/early) for me to still be up! But I can fix that...

Stefanina, I, too, was hoping you'd get some relief from the rain, but it was not to be - I'm thinking of you all down that way.

Meanwhile, back in revmafville, have been to dentist and had another aging filling replaced. It's all kind of disgusting but necessary. I lie there as they probe around in my mouth thinking: "At least I have access to dental care, and I have a dentist I like, and at least so far I can pay for this, and this will be good for me in the long run . . ." It's still disgusting.

 

Fel....where do you keep getting all these "laws" from?

*yawn* It's too early.

 

When I'm at the dentist I'm more WTF am I doing there? Gah my teeth that hurts ye fool! I'm going to vomit... The dentist's kinda cute, well she's twice my ages. Booooorrrrrring. Gotta love random thoughts. And I'm happy to be in a country where medical services are free

 

And I'm gone.

 

I meant to get up today and do some revision, but ended up sleeping all day, since I only fell asleep 3 hours before my alarm went off.

 

The world's conspiring against me!

 

I just cooked the best meal of my life. Not over or undercooked, tasted superb, and didn't make a mess.

Fear my culinary skills.

 

Oh, the Quebec gov't health care provides dental care?!? I gotta move...


Everyone at work is INFURIATED by the new hats - they're like forage caps that don't fit snuggly on the scalp like a baseball cap, and my co-workers are all trying to pull the hat right down, leaving the brim around mid-nose and the hat pushing their ears out.

Oh, and the goofy, green-white 'picnic blanket' aprons are not optional; EVERYONE in the 'fresh' departments (meat, seafood, bakery, deli & produce) must wear them. I, as a fry cook, will have to wear another vinyl apron OVER this one, since it's cotton/polyester and would just SUCK UP oil and grease like a sponge...

...so working in August is gonna SUCK (I'll have to see if I can smuggle a bottle of water in and hide it on a shelf near the fryer or something)

 

My keyboard came, woohoo!

 

Football was awesome, woohoo!

It's always nice when we get to play with guys as team members because their pwnage takes our play to another level leading to be-au-ti-ful actions.

 

You're right, Montresor. Top management is almost always living on a different planet than the people who do the work. The higher they get the more out of touch with reality they get.

 

Gah! Why does it take so long to install Ubuntu on my old computer? I'll have to try it tomorrow. Maybe it's the cd-drive that's acting up...

In other news I'm probably getting into trouble again with women and my saviour-syndrome. *sigh* At least I'm loving every minute of it so far...
