Finished my first day o' work, 8h00 to 20h00's hard.

 

Let's see, 7:10 am wake up call, an hour and a half of work, then I had to go help someone move in the afternoon.

Early mornings plus long days make me a tired spammer...

 

I got 2 books, and Vol 5 of Negima Anime. I LOVE that show.


So all in all a good day.

 

First day of hurricane season, and tropical storm #2 (Barry by name) is forcasted to sweep across large parts of Florida. For once, we folks in the state want this storm to land. With rain. Lots and lots of rain.
Or so I hope, anyway.

 

/me peers out window warily.

Toast?!? I gotta leave for work soon; I'd better take a butterknife and a tub of margarine with me for protection...

I hurt my knee - pulled a tendon or ligament or something - last night during work; it's not swollen at all, but every time I bend it, there's a...well, pulling/tearing ache in something going from my thigh over the 'inside' edge of my kneecap and down to my shin.

Sounds to even me like a sprain, and you ice sprains, and heat strains, but with NO swelling at all (putting my face a couple of inches from either knee shows NO visible difference), I didn't get an icepack for it.

It still aches this morning, so I'm wondering if I should've done so at least before I went to bed...

 

I have this itch on my back that I can't reach, even with a BBQ fork.

The mice were running laps around the place last night.

 

Get the mice to scratch the itch.

 

Stefanina, I'm hoping for rain for you first and us next. A couple of days ago the Knoxville fire department was deluged with calls about heavy smoke in the western part of the city. Turns out it was your smoke. I saw some aerial footage of it and it looked like dense fog.

Wait, did I already say that? Oh, well, here it is again.

Babble can be repetitive, you know.

 

I have spent the past 3 hours shoting zombies.

I just wanted to say that.

Explain this:

Parents-in-law take their sister and her family out to a cabin for a week. Upon returning to the city, all of them must eat another week's worth of suppers together. They all live in the same town! How much fricking togetherness do you need?

My cousin and her hubby are moving to Houston, TX and had their farewell party today. Food, of course, consisted of what they thought to be Texan food: Chili con carne and .... burgers. Showed pictures of their new house .... crazy dimensions.

I had two big burgers, fries, chili, and a few dishes and by now I can move again.

I'll visit them

It's disturbing that I almost understood that...


I.O.N. my knee still hurt all through the day, if I put any weight on it while bent, so I had to limp around with the leg locked straight - it was a little embarrassing and awkward.

Add to which, the boss forgot to schedule anyone for the evening shift after I'd leave, and couldn't get anyone, so I stayed on an extra two hours...

After getting home, my DARLING wife laid me out on the bed, massaged my legs and then suggested an ice pack - while rubbing, she did notice the injured knee was a little puffy.

After maybe five minutes of a Ziploc bag with half-cold water & half-ice, my knee is almost numb, but it doesn't hurt to apply weight while bent - guess it WAS a sprain.

 

Bears have no respect for MSWLogo jokes anymore. Hmph.
....or maybe I'm just crazy.
