New tv shows this week. The new season is getting shorter every year.

 

Season of Heroes two has begun, normally I don't really like foreign tv, but Heroes just kicks ass.

On an another note, I've begun to see what university I should attend to next year. As I have said earlier, I could attend, if I wish, either a french or an english uni. While it would be far easier in french, for obvious reasons, I still think I could somewhat easily go to an english one (I'm not saying I'm perfectly fluent, but meh you know what I mean ). And I think it'll grealty improve my knowledge of the language. Since I want to become an History teacher, having a near-native english could open a lot of international doors. However I am the only one in my family with a decent understanding of english and I fear my family would think I've "betrayed" my languages and culture if I were to study in english. So I don't really know what to do. Oh well c'est la vie

 

My cell phone is dead. the thing will not recharge for love nor money (nor threats, I tried that too).
So, looks like I'm buying a new one. I'm looking at the Nokia 2366i (very basic) or the Motorola W385.
Any opinions? I only use my cell phone as a phone, I don't use multimedia junk on my cell phone.

Ahh... a chance to share my wisdom.

The Nokia, hands down. Motorolas are unviable for a long term solution, plus you can trust them just as far as you can throw 'em. FYI, the 2366i also has FM radio, so if you hand a headset, that's a way of killing time.

 

Ah goddamit! My mp3 player has died because of the rain! It was in the freakin' pocket of my rain coat, and still it got wet and it doesn't work anymore! I'm so pissed!

 

The battery si fine, it's the charge port that's broken off. This phone does not have a charging cradle for the battery by itself, it has to charge in phone...
I have the piece, it broke clean out of the phone, but it broke several transistors & connections along the way, so they can't re-sauder it. It's dead.
I had planned on replacing it soon anyways, as I really don't like this phone much, but the timing is annoying.
I will probably try to sell the battery and the accessories t recoup some of the money I'm having to spend.

My USB went through the wash and it still works. I think your iPod was just badly made.

I've been sick all week, meaning I've slept, drank tea, slept, watched stargåte sg-1, maybe read something and then to slept again.

That's what she said, w00t.... No that's a common problem with iPods, the not working thingy. Most people seem to buy one every four months.
My trusty mp3's been working for 2½ years, the problem is that it's only 512mb and I need to buy a new one, maybe a 6-20GB player soon.

Due to a severe lack of funds this weekend will be spent in sobriety. But I don't mind. There are much better ways to pass the time.

 

No...it's flavored malt liquor...aka "B**ch Beer". There isn't a rum on the face of the earth that only has 3.2% alcohol.

Who said anything about an Ipod? I hate those thing they are WAY overated. No, in fact it's even worse it's a Sony Walkman. Always hated the brand. But meh, it was a gift so...

 

I'm BAAAAACK.

Interesting conference in Louisville, no internet at the conference center BUT very nice rooms and VERY quiet. I am a light sleeper and have trouble sleeping in most hotels - not this place. Not quite a monastery but nearly so.

But the trip back was truly awful. Heavy, driving rain on the interstate, then all comes to a total stop and we creep ahead and off an exit onto a back road because the interstate is blocked for an unknown reason. (My guess is a bad accident ahead.) But no guidance once we're off the interstate, so I decided just to follow a truck. Thought I had fouled up when it turned into a truck stop, but then there was another entry onto the interstate just a bit ahead. Took 3 hours to go from Louisville to Lexington, a distance of about 70 miles. Arrgh.

Back home, day off, doing laundry, slightly cooler, but I'm tired from the 8 hour instead of 4 1/2 hour drive yesterday and my back hurts, too.

I am . Except no beard.

 

Do I see cracks appearing on the pillars supporting what little remains of my sanity?
