Work day's almost over! We're going to Disneyland tonight for dinner. Should be fun. We've got reservations for the Blue Bayou restaurant in the Pirates of the Caribbean. Hopefully we can get a table near the water. :D

Hello all, it is a lovely, chilly morning in Pakistan. Getting ready for breakfast (already have coffee, of course) and then off to work.

Today is my 17th wedding anniversary!! :D

    @ Kuemper
Hang in there. I'll be praying for you.

I didn't think 'lovely' and 'chilly' could ever be associated with Pakistan...or any Middle Eastern Country for that matter. :bad: :rolling:

From what I've heard, Turkey is a absolutely beautiful place. Quite romantic too, in the 19th century sense of the word.

It's rainy and VERY windy today. *bleah*

And I woke up with a sore neck from sleeping wrong.

I really don't want to go to work. *double-bleah*

ION, got a bill from 'Eastern Health' this week regarding some of the services provided when my wife got her last immigration medical (gotta redo each year, as the bureaucracy slowly grinds out her case work)...from FOUR months ago. :nolike:

I suppose delays in billing are to be expected with a busy socialized medical system, but what really took the cake was not that the services were provided in July and billed in October, but that the bill date was Oct.21, and the postmark on the envelope was November 8 - more than two weeks to stuff an envelope, stick it under a postal meter and drop it in the mail-pickup bin?

What is bugging me is I thought I paid for the lab's bloodwork/urinanalysis & x-rays ON THE DAY we got it all done, back in July...only to have another $25 fee for 'venipuncture' (what, the lab forgot to bill for the skilled professional who kept my wife calm while they took blood?)

And to make matters worse, when we went to the hospital to check on the details of what I paid in July, the finance office was closed for a meeting; going back to the information/admitting desk, I found out they're moving offices next week so they're probably busy planning that out. So no explanation of why I didn't get everything billed once (if that's the case and it's not double-billing).

Yeah, Eastern Health - paragon of efficiency and trustworthiness... :nolike:

Ouch!!!! I hope you have good painkillers...

@ kuemp, I hope your court case goes smoothly with the best possible outcome (given what you've told us, the court's best interest is not to put you in jail)

    ION, my sinuses hate me.

    olmikrig - I faint now.

kuemper - prayers, hopes, fingers crossed for you.

ofelix - this was a couple of days ago that you mentioned that unexplained weight drop - hasn't ma revmaf been on you before about seeing a doctor?

and for revmaf herself: DISASTER! the oven in my rented house is suddenly baking at 200 degrees cooler than stated temp and the controls now won't go high enough for baking bread and the needed controller board is no longer available and it's a built-in model that will require new cabinetry to replace and I'm not sure the landlord will do it in time for the major Christmas baking season - pause for deep breath and loud wail. :wail:

Well. OK. Perspective here. Not being able to bake bread for Christmas gifts will be disappointing, but other SP'ers are facing more daunting circumstances.

Still, all things considered - ARGGGH! :bang:

Just found that out of the next three weeks of term, 5 philosophy lecture-hours have nothing scheduled and on the fourth (and final) week, there are no lectures at all. Score!

While I know maths continues up to the last day, if latin follows philosophy's lead, I will be chuffed indeed.

    I ate some great ham.

And I discovered cheese has healing properties.
