Very fast power metal, yes. When I first listened to Sonic Firestorm, I was like    .

I'm more in a punk mood these days. There's three Pennywise albums in the CD player.

I think that was the cover by Etherael (female vocals, and black metal vocals), or you are referring to the instrumental cover DOTW?

Yes you cannot beat a wee bit of pirate metal first thing in the morning :D

Methinks Saber has missed the point of GWAR somewhat. They are supposed to be ridiculous.

Daie, what do you mean, "dark side"? It's power metal. Everything is shiny and happy.

Ok, dmc...I have to admit that Chris Cornell wasn't too bad in Audioslave's first album, but his singing in their newest album is enough to drive one mad! :flaming: That stupid 'doesn't remind me' song makes me want to kill something! :bang: In fact, the only song I really like is the 'I am the Highway' song. :thumb:

Audioslave will never be able to live up to songs like 'Know Your Enemy', 'Wake Up', 'Freedom', 'Renegades of Funk', 'Guerrilla Radio', or 'Bulls on Parade'. :thumb:

Speaking of RATM, I need to re-rip all the albums I have from them at a higher bitrate so I listen to them louder while at work. IIRC all the songs I currently have ripped are at 128kbps and start to get distorted when I crank the volume past 75%. :( I think 192kbps should fix that. :D :rolling:

Rage Against the Machine?!?! I dislike them so much... my best friend loves them, but they are nasty (and not the good 'nasty').

Warrior, but it's still metal, so darkness, and other type stuff...

    Hmm, shiny perhaps.

Alavin, welcome to the shiny side.

I need to get a Dragonforce album. ANy recommendations?

Valley of the Damned, definitely. The other two leave me feeling uninspired.

Actually, you should look for some Power Quest albums. A very good band.

Valley of the Damned is good... but I'm sticking for Sonic Firestorm.

The punk mood continues. One Nofx album, one more Pennywise and one Dead Kennedys CD in the CD player.

And Cúchulainn, I checked in my MP3 collection, and the cover is done by Graveworm. It's pretty damn cool, there's some bagpipes, and it sounds surprisingly good.

DOTW, I've been listening to War on Errorism constantly for about a week now. Franco un-american is such a get-out-of-bed tune

Hmmm, today we had some interesting tabloid news, namely, TarjaTurunen and that annoying husband of hers demanding some sort of a non-disclosure agreement from Nightwish & a lot of other folks with huge penalties anhd all that... mostly probably due to the Nightwish book that is supposed to come out.

Hehe, yeah, American Errorist is a pretty damn nice album. But I'm into older Nofx, for me it's Pump Up The Valuum.

Tarja's a bitch. And I agree with Undertaker, the mob is still screaming for Marcelo's blood

Like I've said before,. Tarja's career in Nightwish ruined her fot he audsiencees she otherwise might have been wooing and thuis I believe she is going to end up rather cast-off. Good riddance, really - bitchy attitude always overpowers a great voice. She obviously thought she could act like the divas of old ion a band... nope, not gonna happen.

You mean "Warrior's Prayer", which is not a real song but the intro to "Blood of the kings".

Continuing the Nightwish theme, there's a lot of Christian imagery in their music, isn't there?
