Seems like England had a pretty bad sports week then. I'm happy for Räikkönen but feel a bit sorry for Hamilton he truly drove a great season.

Hamilton was well unlucky. He deserved the championship to be fair. Well, that;s the way the cookie crumbles I guess. He'll be THE force in years to come though, and the man to beat.

Yeah, it would be great if Hamilton had won. Oh well, next season.

He wasn't unlucky; the last 2 races he got crazy a bit; what's the point of fighting Kimmi in China? or Truli? And in Brazil, what's the point of fighting Alonso? Let them go, you would be champion. It was clear the whole season: first 4 places belong to Mclaren and Ferrari, so fourth position was ok for him.
Ron Dennis should had calm Lewis, but it seems that Ron let his boys do whatever they like.
On the other hand, Kimi won 6 races, compared to 4 for Lewis and Alonso; so nobody deserved more the championship than him.
    hooray for Kimi!

Yeah apparently Lewis also said that the gearbox reset was also his fault in that he pressed the wrong button to the Canadian newspaper Le Presse.
The championship was in his hands and he lost it. Now of course Mclaren are pushing for it in the courts but most seem to believe that it has no chance in hell going through to give Hamilton the championship. He has came through himself and said that he wouldn't want a championship won through courts. Also to say that he would have made a more deserving champion than Kimi is a bit unfair. Kimi won six races, Hamilton won four and Kimi lost 14 certain points due to mechanical breakdowns. Hamilton (if what Le Presse says is true) lost zero points due to mechanical breakdowns.

That said Hamilton made a tremendous impact this year and will continue to do so in the years to come. My only worry is that will Mclaren manage to stay competetive when their car is under close scrunity from FIA, the 50 million euro fine and loss of their chief designer. These are bound to affect their work for the next years car, and not in a positive way.

Exactly. They fought it out on the track and Kimi won. That's the way it should be. The whole court thing is a joke. I have to say that that's the kind of thing that bugs me about F1.

Just saw the replay of the Colts v Pats game. Good stuff. Joseph Addai is a beast but Wes Welker really tore into the Colts! Pats did a great job of rallying for the win.

As someone who's going to Scotland next summer to get married, I must say it's a bit sad not to see them in the Cup. =/

But as it was between them or Italy, there really was no choice for me.

Heh, can't blame them. I don't want Poland, Sweden, Germany, or Italy to be in the same groups either as I cheer for all four of them. ;)

Nice one, English test cricket is back.

Hoggy taking 4 for 29 on the first day, with Panesar adding 3 to skittle Sri Lanka for 188 1st innings total, not too shabby!

I just hope we don't end up having to chase a total on the last day.. Murali on this pitch will be dynamite.

    According to the BBC:

Somehow I don't think he will last much longer in British football.

@Enagonios -lol check this vid out.... and Nash meets Ronaldinho (Nash is only in the fist 2mins, 20 seconds)
Barmy - what happened to England?!? Surely there's some explanation for that dismal 1st innings, I mean England aint that bad and Sri Lanka aint that good.

Hey Harbs, England have drafted Lesley Vainikolo into our union side. He's a montrous wing, and we've nicked him! That's well good. Nothing like poaching players.

Just been watching Bagdhatis (sp?) vs Safin at the Australian Open - probably a repeat but I could care less - and DAMN Marcos was on fire!

BTW, I just read the Iranian cycling team was refused visas to the US where a qualifying cup for Beijing 2008 is taking place. Is that normal, at least in the context of Irano-American relations?
