Rashemen - OOC

I kind of figured that mine would be a bit part. Aiding an escape by holding off an enemy horde just long enough for the heroes to get away, or something like that. I suppose I should have mentioned that before I started talking about 'pulling a Gandalf'.

In the meantime, my character could provide some extra muscle (or spell power), some backstory on the Fellowship (unless you've already got something in mind), and even some tips about the layout of the keep.

 

If your character was a paladin or ranger, he/she could be tracking/pursuing/persecuting the Fellowship of the Serpent. I don't know anything else about them other than what has been said in the open threads. I don't know what their connection with the Half-Demon is, or if the Half-Demon is still in residence. If you want to think up something and then have your character fill us in with his knowledge, that would be great.

 

I was thinking of just making stuff up. (This 'Fellowship' doesn't actually exist in FR, does it?) Now I just need to make my character.

 

I've never heard of it, maybe Benan knows more.

Okay, first we need rumors to be overheard at the tavern (wording can be changed however you want):

"Some say that they mate with snakes!" T

"You ever seen a 10-foot snake wearing clothes and carrying a sword? 'Cause I have." T

"The last time one of them was into town to buy supplies, he licked his lips, and I swear his tongue was forked!" T

"Sometimes, in the dead o' night, you can hear weird screeches comin' from that ol' fort." T/F (Depends on whether you want to introduce Histachi)

"My cousin Joey went over there to check the place out, and we never heard from him again." T/F (Histachi again)

"My brother Krumm went an' joined that dang Fellowship o' theirs, an' I barely recognize him anymore! Plus he's up in that fort most o' the time, so I don't even get to see him much. Course, what with the way he's changed, maybe that's a blessin' in disguise." T/F (Histachi)

"I heard there's a big momma snake down in the dungeons o' that place!" T/F?

"You ever wonder what they need with a whole dang fort? I betcha they're plannin' something, an' we ain't gonna like it!" T

"I heard tell that there's a dragon's squattin' in that place." F (Please, no dragons. )

Yeah, he's mortal and can die. He's just not scared of it. And he's almost to willing to fight. No matter how against the odds. Hence the charging headlong into a group of Yuanti and Fellowship followers.

 

Scot, is that you again as the Rashemenians? If so, you could have just made it another FotS post.

 

Yeah, it's me. I wanted there to be a distinction between the FotS and any other, non PC lifeforms we encounter. As I named it Rashemenians, it should suffice for any potential encounter and I won't have to remember any more passwords.

 

Note that the town is now full of superpowered dogs and rats.

 

I'll be out on Friday and Saturday. Feel free to mop up the remaining undead anyway you all see fit.

No problem Daie, but since several characters have wondered where Maron went off to, it would be neat if she had some story about going off on a wild goose chase, or something like that.

 

Apparently, two newbies have just blundered into the RP. I've already PM'd Dalamar on the subject, and hopefully we can fix any problems.

 

I have company this weekend so don't have much time for the boards but am still around.

 

Felinoid, I PMed both of them too, welcoming them to the RP. We definitely don't want to turn away any fresh blood.

Tomorrow I have to go to a conference for 10 days, and I don't know if I'll have internet access. I imagine I will, though it might be sporadic.

 

Since Daie d'Malkin is having trouble posting but is interested let us not lose Maron. She must be about somewhere.

 

I am working on a post where Nakia goes down the Alice in Wonderland hole. Almost finished so don't post.

I am using extremely bad language at the moment. The blasted computer froze up and I lost my briliant but lengthy post.

You guys post so quickly and often that it seems like I am not contributing. I am here but it takes so long to read all the posts that occur since my last one that I run out of time to write anything. Atten is still there, just probably not doing anything really interesting.
