    No offence, but the contributions made, both quantity and quality, are surely more important than when you joined? Or are we all equal, but some "numbers" are more equal than others?

    Democracy? But tyranny is so much more effective... And that's a proven historical fact.
    Of course, it usually only sounds good when people are looking back at 1000+ years of history. Damn. There goes my point.

    But the bureaucratic democracy most of us live in today isn't really much better. We still pay just as much taxes as people did 500 years ago. Only the life standard has improved a little and everyone (mostly) has personal freedom.

    Anyway, this is a topic for an essay, but if someone wants to continue from here they're welcome. I'm a bit short on time. ;)
