Whoops, here we go again.

Okay, I am in need of help. Split with the missus last week. Mostly from my end so Im not feeling too bad but she has been down in the dumps ever since. I still want to be good friends with her but I would like to starta relationship with another girl. When should I do this after breaking up with her a week ago? When is a safe time?

1)If it's a friend of hers, Long Long Long Time if you are trying to save the friendship, unless . . . you can convince her that it is her idea for you to go out with this new girl.(takes a lot of work but it can be done)

2)how long did your recently ended relationship last & has she reached the point were you are no longer "that insensitive bastard!" & "how dare he breakup with me!" yet?
If not, a nice friendly(friendly NOT romantic!!) FTD flower delivery or build-a-bear delivery ids always a good way to calm her down(or cheer her up) without giving her the idea that you are trying to renew the romance.(remember NO roses!!! or sappy bears!)

 

More info then. We dated for just a little over a year and she got quite attached. So did I, I guess. The new girl is not a friend of hers but not exactly a new girl. She has been my best friend and closest confidant for about 20 months now and she and I had a bit of a history together before things went a little off track and we ended up dating different people.

I think I am still seen as the bastard, more so by her family then anything but I dare say she will be feeling annoyed still.

Also, as the "new" girl is the girl that I share everything with (so she already knows all about all of this), should I wait a little longer?

 

I think I have plenty of reason to be annoyed. 24~ people at the Fencing club dinner, 15 of us went to the union, 8 guys 7 girls, everyone paired off except one. Guess who the f***ing one was??? Fortunately, I thought, I had invited my friend, whom I like alot out with us, but, she ended up with one of her friends from her course, again leaving me on my own. I hate life, I really do.

On my part, have not been having much success recently and have been getting into bouts of self-pity and romanticism regarding the ex. Ugh.

 

Happens. I know that feeling.

From a feminine perspective -- I'd wait a month or maybe two. Anything sooner might be rubbing salt in an open wound. Be a friend to her and give it time to heal. As for the new girl - since she is your closest confidant - I would think she would understand - and respect you for it.

 

TBA, I might sound like a bastard by saying this, but if the ex and the new girl aren't friends, what's the problem? The ex doesen't NEED to know you got a new gf. Even if she finds out, so what? Just tell her you moved on.

I have decided to tell the "new" girl in the next week or so and see if she still has feelings for me (as she did about a year ago) and see when she thinks it might be best to get together, if she wants to. Hopefully she still does as I dont really need my week getting any worse at the moment...

Was even better when even she couldn't keep a straight face afterwards. I don't think we laughed that much since when she last tried to give me a lecture and made the most inappropriate spoonerism possible within a sentence.

 

I was at a party the other day, and a girl convinced my bi-sexual friend that it would be a good idea to give me huge-ass hickeys...

OMG, total humiliation last weekend... one of my friends wanted me to send her a video I took in a party earlier last week. I plugged the "SD" card in the USB reader, and mindlessly assumed that the said video would be the last in the list, sorted by name. So I send her the video. Then, an hour later, I get a phone call. It was her. The first thing she told me was "WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!". Genuinely surprised, I made a double-check and opened the video I sent her.

Turns out I DID made another movie after the one she wanted me to send her. Not the kind of movie you'd like to accidently send to a chick. Oops. We'll just sum this video up as "Art gone bad".

 

Well done there, sir.
