Part of my current collecting is trying to make amends of sorts - I sold off most of my consoles a few years ago when I was very skint. It was stupid really, I could have made it through without doing that.

Still on the hunt for a SNES.

I have an Xbox 360 or a PS3? Anything older than that, I'm struggling.

I've got two Sneses (what is the plural of that ?) but they're both NTSC and won't work for you, sorry. Besides that I've also got a genesis (megadrive), gamecube, original nes, ps2, and a N64.

Rogue Squadron was the best :D

I think the plural is Snesi.

Speaking of which, my SNES arrived yesterday! My collection now looks fairly good. I'll stick a photo on the wall for the SP Facebook page at some point today.

I know I have an Atari 2600 (never sprung for the 5200 - and I think there was a 7800 briefly). I had a Commodore 64. Also a Sega Genesis and a Sega CD thing - don't remember what that was called - perhaps just that - Sega CD. I have no idea if any of them still work, as I haven't played any in years. Oh, and I also have an original Playstation - haven't used that in years either. Never bought and XBox - either that original or 360.

I know I have one of them - and yes, I'd estimate it's probably in excess of 30 years old. Jack loves it!

You sound a little like Dak'kon here Aldeth. The Atari 2600 is known to me. The Litebrite is known to all peoples within the multiverse as a source of limitless pleasure!

Busted out the Sega Genesis this wekeend. Had my 3 yr old palying Shining Force II. It's amazing how fast they adapt. She has a Leapster Explorer, so handling something as simple as a Sega is cake for her. She likes to sit on my lap when I play PC RPGs, but only if its a "tame" game. No BG2. Though BG1 isn't bad, as long as your companions are good guys.

What other RPGs were there for Genesis?

Dreadfully few. The Sega Genesis I always thought was best for its sport games. I'm surprised your 3-year old is into RPGs. Jack (also 3) loves playing PC games on my lap, but he is only into RPGs if there is a lot of action. His favorite is Sid Meier's Pirates, which I worked hard towards getting him to like. His first gaming experience was Diablo II, and that didn't go over so well with the wife (for some reason I don't fully understand).

Jack thought it was great though. I have found that barbarians are the class that best suits the mindset of a 3-year old. Beat over the head until dead...

Anyway, in thinking back to all the Sega Genesis games I had over the years, I wouldn't describe any of them as truly RPGs - more like action games with a little bit of RPG content.
