    [​IMG] I've been playing both D&D and AD&D since the early 80s, when I was just a kid, but I stuck with 2e forever. In fact, I am only now just getting into 3e, mainly because of all the good things I've read on the boards, and because of NWN. Even with all the problems with 2e, I got used to it.

    I am collecting the rule books for 3E and will begin to play as soon as I get the Monster Manuel and have the time to get my friends together withe me as the DM.

    We were running quite smothly on 3rd ed, till the DM picked up the Faerun background. He's busy trying to decide if our characters are best updated or starting with new ones from scratch

    If you can look at the book yoursellf and help him decide. you may find that starting over will let you thak some new abilitys that you couldn't otherwise. Wouldent know personally I dont have the FR book

    I'm trying the 3E right now, but I think I prefer the second edition. But, with me not being a very active player(due to friends moving back and forth), I don't think I've been able to really test 3E that much.

    i've read through most of the 3ed PH, and I like it. It will take a little while to purge the 2ed out of me, though. That stuff is like an addiction. So far, I like what I've seen in the PH, this week I'm working on the DMG and the MM, should be interesting.
