I had a similar fight against a Macedon general with only his general unit and two lancer units against my infantry based army. I was really worried that something like what happened to you would happen to me. Thankfully I had lots of archers to piss off the Macedons and whittle away at them. I then let my ecquita do a mock charge and then run like crazy right into my mercenary hoplites which proceeded to skewer the macedon cavalry.

Even if that battle went well so is there a big difference between easy and medium, even battles I think were performed flawlessy with annihilated enemy armies the losses are a lot higher than on easy. No more can a principe absorbe an enemy infantry charge with slim to none casualties.

This time I am the Brutii and have just pacified the entire Greek peninsula with belonging islands and the Greek colonies in Turkey. I was a bit disapointed that the Greeks were just as primitive as the Gauls. One would expect tougher opposition and larger cities, ie harder fights but greater bounty than when taking on Gaul but that was not the case. In this game Gaul is somewhat of a superpower and seems to be mopping the floor with the Julii and have presenting me with some problems as well when they have attacked me!

I am going to consolidate my holdings now and let my cities grow a bit, even if I am tempted to take the rest of Turkey and conquer Thrace if only to get Byzantium, I want both sides of the Bospor!
