Now that the sexes have been brought up, I have a shocking piece of news to confess:

I'm a girl too. With male genitalia. Can I now get a pat on head?

[IMG] I think that's enough random babbling here. If anyone has anything belonging in this forum to share, post it here, otherwise fly over to the RBP.

Somebody (Scot, I think) once thought I ws female because I was roleplaying a female character.
I assumed that my juvenile sense of humour, plus my long discussion of how much I adore Lara Croft and bosoms might clue people in.

Hmm, it might be harder since I am avvyless. Still, on another forum I've got a female avatar, and am forever convincing people that I am actually a guy.

You're as cuddly as a bear though, aintcha? Who's a cuddly likkle bear? SHell is!

:o Actually, that was me. (Though maybe Scot did too; I don't know.) It doesn't help that 'Daie' looks feminine.

On a related note, I've been calling Takara a she all along, in fact, I've thought "he" was a "she" since I first joined. Change your name!!! >_<

While many people have avatars that does not match their true identity, I am happy to say that in real life I am indeed a pirate.

I am also of the female persuasion, though I think it would be hard to mistake me for anything else... Very few self respecting men would name themselves Dragon's Jewel; or anyone's jewel, for that matter. I hope. I did run into a problem on #sorcerers a few times, since everyone there calls me DJ...
On a similiar note, I managed to lose my avatar (ahem) and I'm assuming that in order to have one now, you need to sign up with an account?

Tal took away the avatars of SPers who haven't posted in years(?). You'll notice the Old Guard who aren't active also have no avatars. AFAIK, you don't need an account to get an avatar.

I think Shell put him up to it. ;)

DM, I still think that the curvature of your avatar's arms and the shading and the stripes make it look more like a boiled shrimp than anything else.

Avatars/portraits on non-SPS board accounts that haven't been active in over 6 months get returned to the pool of available ones. This is pointed out on the avatar/portrait selection pages, as well as in the FAQ, IIRC.

It is indeed not very masculine to style oneself a gem or jewel, hehe, however fitting it might be for a female. ;) As a rule, I suppose females are more likely to be mistaken for males than otherwise. It's also a social thing. When you discover someone is female it's either "oh, I see", perhaps "sorry", sometimes "wow!" (for the e-loners :p ). If it's the other way round, that is you discover a supposed female is a male, then it's a huge, resounding "eeeeeeek!" Because it's kind of creepy when guys pretend to be girls. :p

What if you never implied that you were a girl, Chev?

Perhaps we should call you Chevaliatrice? Chevalieuse?

    Feminine version of Chevalier.

I was just amused, since you mentioned guys being confused for girls, and said it was because a guy pretended to be a girl. Well, I got confused for a girl, but I never pretended to be anything less than a guy.
